Gosh this is what I've been finding. 3s afer the song played in the scene when Elio desperately waiting for Oliver in a dark afternoon, I was completely numb like, "this is it"!!!

Falling in love with Sufjan Stevens and this remarkable film all over again... and realizing with yet another layer of heartache that Elliott Smith could have had a solid place on this pensive, mesmerizing Soundtrack as well, RIP.

Every emotion, every word in the book is so perfectly portrayed from Elio's face, his body, as if the movie was made for him. I have no words to describe how happy this movie makes me.

The intense paralysing emotion Elio felt for Oliver is something I do not wish on anyone else. I really don't know what to say about this move/book ….I look at love and sexuality in a completely different way.

And I had to understand, that there is a deeper reason why it is hurt so bad and tear me apart with a gentle excitement till that point, that I can't breathe anymore and I'm just crying like a baby. Am I overreacting? I don't think so. Because in every of us there is a print of a love, what about we are seeking or we went through once, maybe so many life ago, but there is a memory of that love rest in us. The song in a way represents the course of their love- starts with strong Obsession, followed by almost angelic, furious love, which is over before you know it.

And the writer is sadistic for ending the book in such a way. I’ll go to my grave wondering....
