Styx - Rock & Roll Feeling Lyrics
well I've got this crazy feeling
it's a sickness in my soul
well I can't play no 9 to 5 games
hangin' loose is all I know
riding high's where I belong
gonna get my things together
so if you want come on along
it's a good feeling
it's a rock and roll feeling
it's a good feeling
it's a rock and roll feeling
yeah yeah yeah
and I'm already on my way
so baby don't you worry 'bout tomorrow
you know it seems like a month away
well we got here just this morning
and we're goin' at the light of dawn
well we've only got a short time
so mama won't you keep things going strong
it's a good feeling
it's a rock and roll feeling
it's a good feeling
it's a rock and roll feeling
yeah yeah yeah
yeah yeah yeah
[guitar solo]
it's a good feeling (good feeling)
it's a rock and roll feeling
it's a good feeling (good feeling)
it's a rock and roll feeling
it's a good feeling (good feeling)
it's a rock and roll feeling
it's a good feeling (good feeling)
it's a rock and roll feeling
it's a good feeling (it's a good good feeling)
it's a rock and roll feeling
it's a good feeling....

Styx Rock & Roll Feeling Comments
Yo styx fans how about that Wooden nickel era? I love The Wooden nickel era. That's classic Rock.
Before Deyoung went syrup rock .
Just saw Styx for the 1st time the other night, although I've been a fan for decades. Now I'm checking out and enjoying all the stuff I've never heard before. Thanks very much for posting this Bro.
Well there are STYX before Tommy Shaw. And it was fantastic
I just listened to an interview, where JY said this track was supposed to be a single, but the radio station WLS didn't want to play it, or anything else off of the
*Man Of Miracles* Lp... The only song they wanted to play was *Lady* what a jip!
Yup, and that's why for the longest time the earliest Styx album you got in record stores was Styx 2, making folks think their first album was Styx 2 as sort of a gag and that Lady was their ONLY good song from this period. Musical sheep would accept this and others would dig a little deeper and discover that there was a first Styx album and two others released before Equinox (other than Styx II) What happens when a group of numb nuts get together at the record companies deciding which songs are worth listening too -The ultra boring classic rock format playing the same 50 songs over and over again .
6 assholes don't know what good music is.
of course you do
This song had all the elements of a Number 1 hit! A short catchy tune, easy to sing along with, short (just over 3 minutes) so it would fit into the top 40 format that was still in place (thing WLS!) in 1974 when this album was released. All the pieces of a great Styx song were here. Unfortunately Styx was on Wooden Nickel, a small Chicago label, at the time (they signed with A&M the nest year) and this song never got the exposure that it should have had.
Ya but jumped to a big name Label A&M.
This is one of the best songs they EVER did.
Hell to the yeah !!!!
So awesome how they combine the piano, with this song. Fantastic!!
Love the fact that this great, carefree hard boogie song appears on Styx' most Prog album! A nice contradiction. Also, the magician looks like a real nice guy. :)
this song is a homerun amazing roll down the highway tune go hawks go
thank you wikipedia :)
