Strung Out - Daggers Lyrics

Sounds great, but the digitalized vocals on their albums sound fake and hollow. Been that way for a long time now. Live sounds like a completely different singer, off-key and can't hit notes. Go back to earliest music to hear what his vocals actually sound like. Now its like listening to Paris Hilton on auto tune.

Losing the Ryan Greene production has hurt the sound badly.

Ryan Green worked on STWB which sounds like shit. EOSD was better but he forgot the fact that you’re supposed to actually hear the lead vocals. And of all the re-issues, only the STWB-remixes were actually an improvement. Ryan Greene and SO is not a great combination my dude.

Why does every album since American Paradox have poor mixing ?

The production of this record is awful. Really ruins the experience.

American paradox was poor, it’s about 50/50 with the mixing of their albums.

It has some really great moments. Some pretty part for the course strung out stuff. That no more vocal at 2:12 and the growl thing after it is crap. He should have re done that. The last scream at the end was better but also not great. The break down is a pile of shit. Sappy ass fucking shit going on there. I fully love this song up to the point of about 2:12

Great track, but you can REALLY feel the difference without Jordan. RJ seems like a technically talented and SUPER capable drummer, but there was some magical chemistry with Jordan's style that appears to be gone.

Drums are way to loud can barely hear guitar.

When I first listened to this I thought it sounded too thin to be the final mix. I listened to it a few more times with headphones on and like it a lot more now. There are some neat left and right pans that make for a really interesting mix. The drum hits sound off to left at times for a cool accent effect. Guitar riffs from Rob and Jake in opposite ears. It was just a better experience with headphones on. Not sure if this will get anyone else thinking the mix was weird to revisit with headphones.

Decent song. Grows on you after a few listens. I don’t care if it’s hard or not. I loved Twisted by Design and American Paradox, but also loved Black Out the Sky. I feel like they need to turn Jason’s voice up though. Jason has such a cool and unique voice and I can barely hear him on this song. As others have said, the mixing might be off on this. Hopefully it’s not too late to tweak the mixing before the release. I am assuming it’s too late though.

If you compare this intro to the intro to Transmission Alpha Delta they almost sound identical....

BR has nice lyrics, but music hardly changed over years, I'm a little bit on the "not expecting more" position when it comes to bands like bad religion or pennywise.

Thankfully nothing has changed in the music of BAD RELIGION.
It's still the same Punk Rock I've heard throughout my 20 Years.
Many bands could change their style of music during the Years as this music of Strung Out, because it has many more influences of Metal.
BAD RELIGION has always kept the same Punk Rock style as we used to hear.
In my opinion I NEVER heard anything that reached the heels of BAD RELIGION and I know many but many Punk bands.

Don't get me wrong, I love Bad Religion, but I just don't have that hype for surprises. Probably because I also like metal, but who knows...

For me there is nothing that is comparable to BAD RELIGION.
Metal is not my beach, I do not like it, I get depressed to hear this style of music, I love Punk Rock it makes me feel happy, because it reminds me of the summer and all the exits with our friends.

Nah this is the final mix. It was produced by Cameron webb, who also did agents of the underground, which has a similar sound.

adrianastrolux oh god... Agents was a horrific over compressed mess of a mix! At least this sounds better than that abomination, but still is lacklustre after the incredible mix of alpha delta. It’s hard to accept a step back in quality

I love most of songs on agents, but now that you speak of the production, I understand a bit.

gutrage Spot on. Listening to Agents is like listening to a band swim through mud. Huge bummer that the same team that did Transmission isn’t back. The production on that album is easily the best in their entire catalog
