I’d already listened to the other tracks over and over...and I’d skipped this one for some reason. Once I’d heard it all the way through...my god...now it’s my favorite track. Her voice has NEVER sounded better....this tops her voice from around 1985 on. She had a different sound (a little different) pre-1985 (to me)...and I wasn’t crazy about much of her 90s sound...she blew me away starting with Higher Ground and after. The Movie Album is astounding. THIS album is ASTOUNDING. I hear pure majestic vocals here. This song is IMPECCABLE. Her voice is pure magnificence. I cannot stay it any stronger.

A work asking for freedom and hope for people in risk; running away from their countries looking for a better life. Barbra always looked for democracy. Here in Brasil we are going through a danger way too.

What a great album what an amazing voice the cover isn't bad neither

This is my favourite track from the album. Her voice here is in old Streisand mode. First new Barbra song in a while to give me those chills I used to acquaint with only her. Those chills got hold of me in this song. I love this song. It's magical. The message is strong but when Babs voice is firing on all cylinders it's a kind of an out of body experience. That's why I have loved her for 40 years because only she can do what she does. There is nothing more special for me when she uses the phrasing to build and build and build and then she climbs the note slowly and then POW she hits it - no-one comes close. You just know when A Streisand 'money shot' is coming. For me she got that here. Thanks Barbra.

"Better Angels" is one of my favourite songs in this CD after the title song "Walls". Although the title of the album is "Walls", so many songs talk about coming together and building bridges despite our differences. There are beautiful bridges in this album both lyrically and musically speaking. I love how the melody suddenly changes here when she sings the bridge "Let the better angels be our guide..."

Great melody and superb lyrics. Did Carole Bayer Sager composed the music, and Jonas Myrin and Jay Landers the lyrics ?? or was it a joint effort of all 3. A song for peace .

Remember that even a small blue wave can contain a rip tide, like impeachment.

I've already purchased a CD and an LP copy on Amazon.com. Can't decide which song on this album is my favorite. Perhaps, this track is.

However, her voice on the entire album is as healthy/strong as that on the Higher Ground album of 1997. This one is such a treasure, and is like a rich, creamy red-velvet cheesecake that I would be willing to get in a long line to have a taste of.
