Stratovarius is a Finnish Power Metal Band that was formed in 1984. Other genres that they have been considered are Neoclassical Metal, Progressive Metal, Symphonic Metal, and Heavy Metal, of course they mix it all in with the Power Metal. They totally rock!! Since their formation, they have released 16 studio albums, 4 DVDs and 5 live albums. Stratovarius is considered one of the leading and most influential bands of the Power Metal genre. There have been many line-up changes and Timo Kotipelto is the longest standing member, who joined in 1994. The Members of Stratovarius for the album, Destiny were: Vocalist Timo Kotipelto, Guitarist & Engineering & Record Producer: Timo Tolkki, Keyboardist Jens Johansson, Drummer Jörg Michael, Bass Guitarist Jari Kainulainen, Strings Max Savikangas, Strings Eicca Toppinen, Strings Sanna Salmenkallio, Strings “Mr. Unknown,” Cantores Minores Boy Choir-Choir, Conductor Timo Ojala, Engineering & Mixing- Mikko Karmila, Mastering- Mika Jussila & Pauli Saastamoinen. Destiny, which is the seventh studio album by Stratovarius, released on 05 October 1998 through Noise Records. It reached No. 1 on the Finnish Charts and remained there for 17 weeks. Timo Tolkki was the composer of the music & lyrics for most of the songs on the album. “Dream With Me” was composed completely by Timo Kotipelto. STRATOVARIUS FOREVER ONE!

I love Stratovarius and Tolkki ideas in the compositions,but we can't compare him with guitar players like Govan,Howe,Kotzen and others.For example:Slash has more fans than Tolkki,but he is a ridiculous musician.It's a question of objectivity.

Tolkki is not a good guitar player but is a genial composer.

I'm not a big fan of Stratovarius, but this is one of the greatest solos ever!

Tolkki didnt write this song. Tolkki was amazing, but he quit and is now selling out like a madman. Their new guitarist is great anyways.

Rubbish, Kotipelto is far better, look at his 3 personal albums, and guess what, Kotipelto wrote the music and the lyrics for this song.

@uptheirons2112 Stratovarius is one of my favorite bands of all time, but not my favorite either. But never ever say on a band like this that they aren't the best band in the world. I find that very disrespectful to the die hard fans on this video. My favorite band of all time is Nazareth a very influential metal band. That has transcended basically every genre you can think of other than power metal,Dubstep,and rap.But again never say that about Stratovarius. Say that about band like metallica.

I feel like I could listen to Stratovarius for ages.
Up to now I pushed Like button on every video of this band.

if aman with such a beautiful voice would say to ME " why don`t you dream with me" ( and this in such adifficult time) i`d dream on and on and on.......... with him . the dream would never be over .but unfortunately nobody does ;-)

Years ago I went out on blind date. I ended up liking the girl more then what I expected. Sad to say that it didn't work out between us. I came home that night and played this song repeatedly. about 20 times over and over.
