Stone Temple Pilots - Piece Of Pie Lyrics
I broke the breadline
Nobody knows
I walked the frontline
Still got far to go
I drank the water
I broke the breadline
Don't wanna know
It's staring me down
Wearing a crown of apathy
I'm standing around
Dressed like a clown
Don't know my name
You know where to find me
I killed the manchild
I'll fast alone
I had the midwife
Naked and alone
I mixed the water
I drank the water
I killed the brainchild
I'll fast alone
It's staring me down
Wearing a crown of apathy
I'm standing around
Dressed like a clown
Don't know my name
You know where to find me
Don't wanna let me be a man
Don't wanna lead me to your home
It's staring me down
Wearing a crown of apathy
I'm standing around
Dressed like a clown
Don't know my name
You know where to find me
I killed the manchild
I had the midwife
I drank the water
I stand alone
I broke the breadline
I walked the frontline
Don't know my name
You know where to find me
I killed the manchild
I had the midwife
I drank the water
I stand alone
I broke the breadline
I walked the frontline
Don't know my name
You know where to find me
Don't wanna let me be a man
Don't wanna lead me to your home
Don't wanna let me be a man
Don't wanna lead me to your home

Almost sounds like a Dirt track from Alice In Chains . Almost 👁🔥
85 of them dont wanna dress like a clown😎
Me and my co worker listen to this in the work truck all day. Whenever good shit comes on the radio it’s turned up. I bring CDs sometimes to pop in the disc tray and so does he. We listen to this good shit while we head to a job.
Such a beautiful chorus ... wow.
One of the best songs on the album. Easily.
When this music was out ,we partied with REAL people .No social media ..no fckn cell phones ..no Youtube just a scratched CD or tape smoke and cold beer.
Graduated in 94'. I hear ya over here!
Hell yeah. I remember jamming this album nonstop with my buddies. Lots of brew and a little smoke. Good times.
Ok boomer
Sexual Tyrannosaurus I assume this guy is gen x, so you can fuck off
smartphones are so fucking annoying. i got rid of mine and i feel genuinely happier
What a great song
That was the second album I ever bought!!! Literally
Primus single Wynonas Big Brown Beaver was the first🤣
I also choose their debut album over the following ones. The basslines on the bridge of this ones are amazing!
Stp baby
so badass.......so badass
I walk the front line, lads n lassies, it still gets me now just the same as it always has, you can find me by moonlight, .........
probably the best bassist of 90's rock
flea disagrees
Awesome song. Loving this riff. Love the heavy STP guitar work.
2019 still rocking this mother fucker \m/
Yeah, .........all ive got to loose is my apathy,
The 90's would not have been the same having not been blessed with this album ✌️❤️✌️
this tune is fucking heavy,, power cords,, rock on stp fans
This is the first CD I've ever owned, I burnt a fuken hole in that thing I listened so much.
"don't know my name you know where to find me"
this is the best non-single on the album imo...could make an argument that its the best song on the album imo
Best stp song
I wasn't around to see the 90s, but I have some awesome parents
last decade with a bunch of good music was the 90s.
Scott was such a badass. " I DRANK THE WATER I STAND ALONE"!!!
I have that ink!!
I can see how people think this sounds a little like Kurt. There are some parts that definitely do
Never got that impression. Scott had his own unique voice.
Unbelievably heavy.
Good bands die...bad bands couldn't die if you chucked a grenade at them.
Thumbs down given to STP by a generation of youth who can't stand the sounds of bass and electric guitars in the music they listen to.
I killed the man child
I had the midwife
I drank the water
I STAND ALONE!
I need to get back into STP.
Ridiculous song, ridiculous album. RIP 90s
This is superb!
Soundgarden STP and AIC best 90s RIP

great fucking tune
When There done Judging you. Then you say Now defend the God you pray to. That's why thou Shall not Judge.
Heavier then a Mother Fucker!!!
Their most underrated song.
It's so sad how great rock music is all but dead. No decent rock bands since the 90's. These days everyone is into hip hop and shitty pop music.
"No decent rock bands since the 90's"
You consider take into consideration look artist on the underground scene ? The mainstream is not the all spectrum of music you know.
And this is how rock is played. This is Education.
Now we live in the Golden Age Of Autotune. Thanks god I grew up with this music!
If a martian landed and asked what rock is, Core, by STP could be more than a good clue.
Best bands of 90s: Pearl Jam, STP, AiC & SG
I would definitely add tool, ratm and blind melon in there too
Screaming trees
kickass songgggg
Best song on CORE easily. The groove in this song is wicked.....
Rips stupid hard
I agree
EpilepticSeptic damn right man
You could tow a fucking train with that riff...🤘🏻
speaking of*

At 252 it just makes you want to break shit great riff and solo
POWERFUL TUNE right there !!! Holy shit ! :)
❤️❤️
Let's talk about fart.
Best Album for Stone Temple Pilots! 👍
the bass is yeah
4:15 best part in my opinion
best song for doing squats
This album was fucking phenomenal.
YEAAAHHHHHHHHH. YEAH
YEAAAAHHHHHHHH YEAH
love that shit
Everyone keeps sayi g he sounds like layne I guess in a way i can see the similarities but scott had more of a country feel to his voice. Either way i love Alic in chains and stp . I hope they all are at pease, layne staley, scott weiland, andd chris cornell
Thirty Eight people are retarded.
Top 10 best rocks ever!
"I broke the breadline, I walked the frontline"......Great song for a NFL Linebacker to listen to before gameday!
True fan for life
This dude was in a studio singing for barely an hour on this album and made to many millions to count..to hell with the haters. Let them hate.
yes, but how many could pour their soul into it and sing like that!
The first CD I bought ever was this in 92' at 14 year's old. Been a fan ever since!
I was 14 in 92' also. This and PJs 10 were my 1st CDs:) Rock On...🎸🎸🎸
YOU PEOPLE THAT THUMBS DOWN ARE CHILDREN
No one beats Scott in his prime!!!! " The melody man"
Right on!
Why is the purpose to compare scott and cornelll or laney or ediie??, STP were a unique band with a singular style, much more heavy and with other elements, Rip Scott, he was the best singer in the 90¨
man this brings back memories
This sucks. I was trying to find some Nickelback songs and this shit popped up.
Robert Wilson fuck dickleback
Awesome bass lines.
YEAHHHHHHH
fuck Bieber - STP for life
I miss you Scott. You will NEVER be forgotten!! Your music is forever great and will never die, so you will live forever with your amazing sound!!!
Robert DeLeo is a fucking genius.
bad-ass shit...love it.
pilots b chains are the 90s grunge seen...all else follow
I totally 100% agree with that statement
One of the best bass lines in music
lembra muito o Layne Staley
Principalmente na primeira parte da musica quando ele grita, é a mesma técnica vocal.
parece mesmo ein.
Parece mesmo ele dois foran incriveis
The Best!
RIP Scott
Absofuckinlutely awesome
This song to me is like how this Halloween has been
Sick Solo
02:26 The best part STP 💚
❤❤❤❤
In-your-face hard rock will never die *\m/*
the bass is so heavy in this song.
Robert DeLeo was the whole reason i got into playing the bass. He's awesome.
for sure he is.
I like the clean bass and distorted bass thing he's got got going here. By far the heaviest track off this album because of the bass, guitar, drum and the slight anger of the vocals.
mick Blankenship is the best bet for stp to ever sound like this again. stpII
class of 96
you know, it's why I wasn't into drugs, smoking nor drinking;;; it's nt the way, God is better.
ok....GTFO
Why can't you have both
RIP, buddy.
damn, can't believe Scott Weiland died, had tickets one time but didn't go, cause I had no Caro to go,,,was no Uber in Dallas than. oh well, at least there's Youtube for me.
This is my favorite band of the 90's. They established their uniqueness rapidly, and no one has ever sounded like them since. God rest Scott's soul. I could listen to this song 1,000,000 times and like it a bit more each one of them. The entire band is fantastic, and if we have to make one, THIS is the Led Zeppelin of the 90's. Which means Zep is the STP of the 70's. Yeah, STP is that good.
Scott Halligan I have to disagree Alice In Chains and STP are at the same level of awesomeness and uniqueness. Especially when you consider Lanye’s voice especially in the Dirt and Facelift albums. I also would have to say that Layne has a higher vocal range than Scott, one of Laynes best performances was Junkhead live at the singles party. His voice was definitely unique and even though Scott can sing very good Layne still has a higher vocal range. Not that it matters, I love both bands but there hasn’t been a better voice than Layne long before AIC and will continue to be no better voice. You also have to consider their live performance and Layne during MTV unplugged showed his higher vocal capacity and capability compared to Scott who I don’t think showed as much vocal capability. You can say that in studio Scott sounds amazing but outside he is not better than Layne and he certainly does not beat the Alice In Chains live Junkhead performance. https://youtu.be/p9GAEFTeWko
@Tomas Benitez no. and no. and another no.
I think soundgarden were more like led zeppelin
@NCDProductions chris cornell and layne are in my opinion the two best rock singers ever. Freddie mercury comes third.
STP sounded more like the beatles of the 90's
I swear to god I thought this was Alice in chains the first time I heard this song
this song is so fuckin in your face, definitely my favorite track off core
"Don't know my name, you know where to find me..."
Facebook.
Its starin me down,
fuck i miss the 90's!!!! class of 96 !! we will miss ya Scott...yeeeeeeeeaaaaa...😎
One of THE GREATEST rocknroll songs of all fucking time. Nothing beats that heavy intro. Gets my heart pumping every damn time.
Sgt Baker I came here to just for the "yeaaahh"
Gets you going then reels you back in at the end. This song is perfection.
Ive always enjoyed the deep bass groove in this track.
The best, missing you Scott...
That is a groovy riff
+Andrew James well they did write this when they were a funk band...
+Jango Nuts True but sounds completely different. If you haven't heard it check out Stone Temple Pilots Piece Of Pie (Early Version) Mighty Joe Young Demos
yeah if you see the water mix some bad sh*t gonna go down
Absolutely Bad Ass song...
