yeah! it's the first thing it came in my mind when I heard this song the first time. IN this last album they made a more 70's rock oriented and chart pop songs. Mostrly with good results. There's "dare to be dare" who makes me think about John Lennon mostly for the singing and "First kiss on mars" to Bowie..always because of Scott's interpretation. Love that guy, I miss him.

Musical taste is always subjective, but you're off here in your characterization of STP. Simple poppy lyics? They have songs that are somewhat straightforward, but others that are cryptic and introspective (see Still Remains,Big Bang Baby). And I'd say they have plenty of "catchy" riffs and are actually have a more accessible catalog than the others mentioned. As for "genius"--they're one of the most diverse bands of all time I'd say. Great band, and so are AIC, SG, and PJ.

I LOVE STONE TEMPLE PILOTS...... but you people who think they are the best grunge-era band are totally off your rocker, learn to appreciate good music and musical genius, stp is fantastic and up until the late 90's epitome of three-chord grunge, with simple poppy lyrics, dont get me wrong i love stp ......but look at the genius of bands such a AIC, soundgarden, and nirvana, lyrical genius catchier riffs, all together the music is better...

oooo you can taste the Aerosmith, I love it! I've always wondered what my two favourite bands would sound like combined. I guess Huckleberry Crumble is as close as I'm getting to that fantasy ;)

Couldnt agree more. How about 'And so I know' That song and melody couldnt have been touched by pearl jam, alice n chains, soundgarden, pumpkins,etc. That album seperated them from the rest.

@superaaronash I think it's like an homage to Aerosmith. Also, Weiland has always been one of the most versatile singers ever. He probably just felt like singing Steven Tyler-ish.

At the risk of being murdered by other commenters, I have to admit that, in general, I didn't like this album nearly as much as their older albums, but this song is amazing and definitely one of the best on the album. STP will always be my favourite band.

This band fucking rocks, but this record is mediocre and only a mere shadow of the talent within STP.
It's fun sure, but it's not unique in any way. IMO this song and Maver are the two best songs on the album. Why? Because I can't listen to better incarnations of those two songs on their previous albums. Just think about it for one second, if you had to make a one hour play list of STP, how many songs from this album would you include?

I just bought this today and I keep oscillating between tracks 3 and 6. They're so damn good. I don't think I'll finish the album if this keeps up lol.

I love this song...and like somebody said earlier, I agree that the only really bad song on this album is Cinnamon (which is total garbage, just awful). And to extend credit to the person that mentioned No. 4, which is a monster of an underrated album in its own right. STP is a great band, but for the life of me I don't get why Scott insists on performing high, because when sober, he's one of the best on the stage. Poor reviews are only from shows when he's high and he's stupid for doing so.

They are without a dout the best thing that survived the 90's besides Peal Jam who got stale after awhile.Now that Soundgarden is back maybe they can make some new and exciting music .STP is still making some great tunes.

Dudes, you can find something in just about every band's music that sounds like some other band. The case with STP is that the media labeled them early on as rip off artists. Despite that they continued to break sales records. STP definitely has a sound of their own that is quite distinct. They are better than Pearl Jam (who you could say sounds like Hendrix since Gossard plays a similar style). All these Bozos that say they are sound alikes are just repeating something that they heard.

exactly , and the majority of aerosmiths music is blues based so it's all been done before anyway. So who cares. It's impossible to write anything truly original these days. STP and Aerosmith rock!

@thesilvershining With each new album I think they got more and more unique and were able to find their sound. And yes, Scott sounds fantastic. But I don't think the other guys in the band get enough credit. Eric, Rob, and Dean are all solid, especially Dean. It took just one live performance for me to realize how much of an amazing guitarist he is. "And So I Know" on Tiny Music...enough said.

@LIVEtoROCK86 I'm always iffy with new albums. The other five have had a long time to soak in, which is unfair really. But I adore this new album. A lot. Spectacular musicianship all around. Scott sounds fantastic... I'd like to hear the critics call them "Pearl Jam rip-offs" now. They're so not, all their albums are different and this is no exception.

This ones amazing....you just gotta understand what stp is about....you just understand that stp is suppose to sound like this thats what makes em stp....listen to tiny toons like or art school girl or even bagman on the new album.thats what the stp is suppose to sound like...they definetly got their sound towards tiny music and the 60's feeling purple had...style changed a bit deleo's riffs saved the songs alot I've really grown to it and learn to understand where they were going with the songs

@riverofchains I wasn't saying that this is better than Tiny Music, just that the sound is akin to that album more so than say Core or Purple....like that 60's/70's upbeat rock sound. Check out Bagman. Plus it's just an opinion brother, learn to accept them.
