I’m sure there are dozens more but I love when rock/metal bands show their Country roots. 👏🏻

(So just to preface this I'm a huge Stone sour/ Slipknot fan and I think Corey is an excellent songwriter so please keep that in mind.)
So I live in a small shitty town that has like two radio stations and one of which is a modern country station. So usually in the car the radio plays and I have headphones in so it's no big deal but, something caught my attention today. A song came on called "colder weather" by the Zac brown band. This song has a VERY similar Melody to this and VERY similar subjects for the lyrics.
So naturally I assumed this guy Zac brown ripped off Stone sour but, sadly "colder weather" was released in 2010.

On Saturday nights here in Georgia we have a tradition of sitting around a bonfire listening to Classic Country Jukebox on the radio. Merle Haggard, David Allen Coe, Hank Williams and the like. I Have a Classic Country Jukebox playlist. I snuck this song in, nobody caught it. There was actually an argument on who sang it. Nobody got it right.

This past December our cat died of old age. He lived to be 18 years old and was a cancer survivor. Now our dog is suffering from cancer. He is also an amputee due to cancer. Everytime I hear this song it calms of my hatred for a disease that has taken another of my loved ones. "This anger isn't helping anyone" sticks out the most.

auto-tune is actully used often in metal (even stone sour and slipknot do it.) its mixed in a way so you cant hear that mutch
