I thought it was fucking amazing. Man those were the days. I bought this album the day it came out. I seen them on that tour in a small club with chevelle. Its was fucking amazing. I lost a shoe in the pit.

i'm probably in some kind of super-minority here, but i feel like Corey's old school voice hit its peak on this album.

It definitely had the best blend of his early era scream and his later era focus on melodic vocals

To me, it has a hint of Iowa from Slipknot (cuz Corey's in this band and Slipknot lol)

Kristian Nowak this was right after Iowa so I’m sure Jim and Corey influenced it with some of the Knot. Considering the sings guitar tuning is in drop b (slipknot signature guitar tuning at the time) and Corey’s Iowa scream. Also the rapping in the verses like in the self titled album for slipknot.

@Ice Head 200 Stone Sour had two 9 song EPs and a full album by 1996 before Slipknot's first demo with their first singer in 1996. None of them were nationally released.

A7X older than Stone Sour? I don't think so.. A7X might have become popular as a band first (although I'm not sure of this), but Stone Sour is much older as a band.

Stone Sour's debut album was their only good one Imo. I loved all their demos too though. But on Come whatever May they had morphed more into a rock band and left the nu metal/post-grunge elements behind and became this alternative/hard rock band. I loved the juicy, honest sound they had on that first album. Plus Corey was still in Iowa mode vocally which did not ruin things one bit ;)
