Stone, Joss - You Got The Love Lyrics

Sometimes I feel like
Throwing my hands up in the air
I know I can count on you
Sometimes I feel like saying
Lord I just don't care
You've got the love I need
To see me through

Sometimes it seems that
The going is just too rough
And things go wrong
No matter what I do
Now and then it feels
Like life is just too much
You've got the love
I need to see me through

When food is gone
You are my daily meal
When friends are gone I know
My savior's love is real
Your love is real

Sometimes I feel like
Throwing my hands up in the air
I know I can count on you
Sometimes I feel like saying
Lord I just don't care
You've got the love I need
To see me through

Every once in a while
I say Lord I can't go on
Every once in a while
I get to feeling blue
Every once in a while
It seems like I am all alone
But you got the love
I need to see me through

Occasionally
My thoughts are brave and friends are few
Occasionally
I cry out Lord what must I do
Occasionally
I call up Master make me new
You've got the love
I need to see me through
See me through

Sometimes I feel like
Throwing my hands up in the air
I know I can count on you
Sometimes I feel like saying
Lord I just don't care
But you've got the love I need
To see me through

Sometimes I feel like
Throwing my hands up in the air
I know I can count on you
Sometimes I feel like saying
Lord I just don't care
But you've got the love I need
To see me through

Time after time I say
Oh Lord what's the use
Time after time I say
This just won't, this just won't do

You got the love
Sometimes I feel like
Throwing my hands up in the air
I know I can count on you
Sometimes I feel like saying
Lord I just don't care
But you've got the love I need
To see me through

You got the love
You got the love
You got the love
Got the love, got the love
You got the love
You got the love
I need to see me through

Stone, Joss You Got The Love Comments
  1. L.... R....

    MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE !

  2. H.... M....

sometimes you just want to shout it after tragedy... O town... music can be healing...intrigued...I do, however, wonder what the song would sound like sung from a gospel choir. is love is love is love. I dream it would be uplifting.

  3. j.... d....

Much more preferable to Florence who just shouts her way through songs.

    j.... d....

+jinae di nisci I like The source ft Candi staton more becouse they made the original song :)

    j.... d....

I'm with you there pal, Candi Staton was a favourite singer of mine back in the day

  4. L.... C....

i prefer florence's one! But this is very good too. Its different from each other.

  5. R.... V....

    good collection ;)

  6. R.... L....

Florence + The Machine's version is powerful and has magic. It's a totally different thing.

  7. Z.... ....

You guys should look for the original 1986 - Candi Staton. FILTHY bass.

  8. L.... ....

3 people don't got the love!! I feel sorry for them :(

  9. j.... s....

I don't like Florence's version, its so boring. This version is amazing. Propper talented musicions with soul full singing. So much more expressive.

  10. D.... W....

    filthy filthy bass :D

  11. s.... ....

I love this version than florence + the machine's version :))

  12. M.... ....

I think the best is You Got The Love (The XX Remix) - full vol and bass :D totally awsome ! ;D

  13. T.... ....

i love it but its so soulful, i prefer the florence + the machine version because there is something of rock (drumms) and its a very powerful version

  14. C.... C....

they are too differen't...but I think Joss might've done it a little better. it's so soulful

  15. m.... j....

I prefer the Florence And The Machine version.

  16. r.... ....

    @caioilouco
    I don't think so..

  17. C.... H....

i love it, but Florence's version is much better xD

  18. F.... Z....

    Love this version over all!

  19. B.... B....

I definitely prefer this over the Florence version. Florence's version is good, but it's over-produced.

I can imagine Joss in a jam session with her band and just bamming this out on a whim, and being like "Hey, that was actually pretty good...let's throw it on the album"

    B.... B....

Couldn't have explained it better than that.

  20. G.... R....

Florence & the machine did sing this on there album as well ....i love joss but florence did a way better version...joss stone went with a more preachy version...church go'ers will love it im sure.

  26. 1.... ....

I thought Florence & the machine sang this? You know the ppl who sings Dog Days Are Gone??

  27. C.... G....
