Stone, Doug - Warning Labels Lyrics

I begged her to stay and give me one more try
And she said it's over, and she said goodbye
Now I'm at this bar, tryin' to wash away my pain
But every time I hear the jukebox, the tears fall like rain

They oughta put warning labels on those sad country songs
Harmful, to your heart when you're left all alone
And if you're drinkin' you'll start thinkin' bout love that went wrong
They oughta put warning labels on those sad country songs

They warn me 'bout cigarettes, whiskey and beer
No one ever warned me about the music I hear
I don't guess I would listen to what they said anyway
But at least I'd been ready when the first sad song played

There's nothing harder on my heart than ol' Haggard and Jones
They oughta put warning labels on those sad country songs

After seeing this video and hearing this song 100's of times, we need to put warning labels on all rap country and bro-country songs!

The Jukebox was from my collection and the idea of the record labels and the pressing plant was also my contribution for the video. It was great fun. I still have Hatch Show Print posters we used... In those days I was using a number of my jukeboxes for movies, videos and album art. In the eighties and early nineties many country music videos were shot in the bars and clubs in Nashville. I'm in quite a few of them and I'm always drinking at the bar or at a table. My mom said I was typecast...LOL.

80's-90's country is my favorite era for the genre. It was just a different time and place. I really miss it I can't stomach this new stuff Nashville is churning out these days.
