Emii Senpai Yup...one of the best songs on the album. The sheer irony of Stevie’s poignant, visceral lyrical content and delivery against the backdrop of the high society orchestral musical arrangement is pure genius and only enhances the power of the words he’s speaking. On one hand you’re imagining a fancy dinner at a privileged wealthy estate and on the other hand you’re feeling the pure desperation of the community Stevie’s describing and how incredibly immoral it is that such a wealth and power gap could existing between people in this country.

I think it says something (other than about my intelligence) that the backing is so obviously a synthesizer and yet i thought it was a real chamber ensemble for the longest time. Beautiful.

Smack Bramhall it's a Yamaha GX1, a sort of test bed for future development, making the strings. An almighty brute of a synth. Only 16 made, and Wonder got one of 'em. Guy is a genius and a living legend.
