Steven Wilson - The Guitar Lesson Lyrics
The pupil is twelve, attractive withdrawn
In a midnight blue school uniform
Lips just a little too full for her face
Distant eyes full of space
No defiance
She fingers the frets looking forlorn
Crossing her legs where her tights have been torn
Starts as her mother comes into the room
And the afternoon grows still
And her mother feels a chill
Shivers and buttons her coat
I gently correct the curve of her back
At the classical piece I've had her prepare
And her arms are bare as she plays
And I draw back behind her ear
A few strands of hair gone astray
She shows me her bracelet, the lesson is done
I turn it around between finger and thumb
We sit face to face and it seems to me that
Her face is the face of a cat
And touching the place where her breasts will be
I press my hand flat
She comes into my lap, I turn her around
Her hands clasp my neck and her feet skim the ground
Her skirt travels up under my palm
But the pupil sits looking so calm
As if listening to the distant sound of a burglar alarm.
What happened next it's hard to recall
The guitar lesson left no traces at all
Now from afar it seems to resemble
A strange composition in oil
Of a man, a guitar and an innocent little girl

Less menacing, almost like the shared innocence of two teens rather than an adult and child. Still, first time I heard it I was shocked a bit by the frankness of the subject. Still a lewd subject, at least by today's standards.
It's mental, but this kind have stuff has actually happened. It just illustrates a fucked up situation, that's all. The original song was based off of a painting called "The Guitar Lesson" showing a woman molesting a little girl. Like the painting, this song shows a fucked up facet of reality that some people end up facing.
such a beautifully sad song thats about having sex with a kid pupil >->
Octane Twisted?
respect elevating never had a pause
Nothing's wrong. You cant take risque subjects?
this is just mental, what is wrong with all you people?
wilson123 this is a cover from a song by MOMUS. It is about a painting called “The Guitar Lesson” that illustrates a woman molesting a child. It is wrong, very, but this is just a musical interpretation of that, which does not justify it whatsoever and neither am i, I am just explaining the meaning behind it. The song is a piece of art though, despite the dark meaning behind it.
Wilson умеет поднять настроение, чего уж)))
@SLaKaTTaKK What do you mean a terrible cover of a great song! This treatment of this song (though I don't know the original, it's true) is excellent. Very disturbing song...but very beautiful.
wilson adds a whole different ambient, less creepy and more melancholical but still awkward, for me, it's PERFECT.
I much prefer this version to the original. This is amazingly beautiful and disturbing.
@SLaKaTTaKK the only terrible thing is how surprisingly great the picture fits the mood of the song.
@SLaKaTTaKK Why do you think it is terrible? It's different.
Terrible cover of a great song.
Agreed, agreed, agreed!
