Steve Wariner - Domino Theory Lyrics
I like livin in the land of free
And I like how it feels when you lean on me
Ever since you wandered into my back yard
I dropped my resistance and lowered my guard
Knock one down and the whole thing goes
It's the domino theory of love
It only takes a shove
I fall you fall
We gotta keep our defenses up
That's the domino theory of love
The game of romance is a balancing act
It's two step forward and one step back
Next thing you know we'll be sliding on down
When it comes to sortin out our hearts and our minds
We're just a couple of pushovers standing in line
It's the domino theory of love
It only takes a shove
I fall you fall
We gotta keep our defenses up
That's the domino theory of love
[SOLO]
When it comes to sortin out our hearts and our minds
We're just a couple of pushovers standing in line
It's the domino theory of love
It only takes a shove
I fall you fall
We gotta keep our defenses up
Or we'll all go down together
It only takes a shove
I fall you fall
We gotta keep our defenses up

I saw him years ago at the Tennessee Valley Fair in Knoxville. My mom and I stood in line backstage through his second show just to meet him. He was so kind and talked to us for a long time. My mom passed in 2004. I still listen to Steve’s music and relive some great times. ❤️
This has always been one of my favorite songs

Yeah, mine too...
I thought this song would hit #1 for Steve Wariner back in June of 1990. Might have if the country charts did not switch to the BDS format earlier that year.
