Steve Miller Band, The - Fanny Mae Lyrics
I know, my baby told me so
Yes, I know, my baby told me so
She said I'm leavin' you, daddy
Got such a long way to go
Yes I can hear your {??} ringin', baby all down that line
And when I hear your {??} ringin'
I know you're not far behind
Fanny Mae, baby won't you please come home
Now I'm so tired livin' all alone

Steve Miller Band, The Fanny Mae Comments
Its Miller time
Don't know how many Ds I've blown out playing this tune.
Yer Blowin TOO FN Hard! lol
always loved this album cover artwork. The second album had a Jimmy Reed song You're So Fine which I've thought would have flowed better as part of this Future album instead. Going To Mexico from the fifth albums would sound best placed between Stepping Stone and Roll With It.
Boz Scaggs & Ben Sidren played on this LP I LUV Fanny Mae!!!
Great sound - thanks! I do a very humble tribute version of this and "Musta Did Somebody Wrong" by the Allman Bros. together - great fun! Cheers, '62 Mathew St. (Total Retro Rock)
the great miller
Miller is a decent harmonica player too. Btw harp = Key of D.
Steve Miller was a much better harp player than I think he gave himself credit for. As a harmonica player myself, his version of Fanny Mae was tough to play.
