I just listened to this again on 5th January 2020 (actually that's me, Stephen Attwood, father of Victoria as I don't have a YouTube account). It sounds such a cliche, but this song is less like a wine, but more like an XO Cognac that you though was finished...and you just found the bottle again. It is NOT sad, it is pure romanticism. The first bars evoke an aroma of past times, past thoughts and loves...then you sip slowly through the whole song, remember it...and enjoy!!

Who would have thought that a revamp of a '73 album filler would move me to tears? Utterly magnificent. Those in the audience were truly privileged. Ritz was always my fave SR&CR track, until today. I wonder where this counts in Steve's own musical highlights?

I'm almost crying listening to this.Me and my mate out of our gang were the only ones who liked Cockney Rebel.Saw them in an afternoon show in the Glasgow Apollo on a Sunday and then went to my Fran's for dinner 1975 I think brilliant show

Had to watch this as I went to see him on Saturday (14/09/19) at Buxton Opera House.
Loved Steve & CR since the Human Menagerie and he's still touring at 70 and believe me, he's still wonderful so go see him if you can. Underrated he is but I think he will go down as one of the greats.
