Stephen Stills - As I Come Of Age Lyrics
As I come of age
I keep fallin' down
And I feel just like a schoolboy
I was in a senseless rage
Runnin' too hard
Yes but it's all over now
I'm a little bit older now
The lessons that I'm learnin' now
Gonna make it easy
Somehow
Now then can I try
Starting over
Put the pieces back together
I can see it's all a puzzle
A game
Always the same
By the time I die with the passing
If I've sorted out my changes
And if you could take the time
I would tell you that it's still a puzzle
The same
Always a game

Stephen Stills As I Come Of Age Comments
Hit 70..Am I of age??? Still searching..
Where can I get the 41 jersey??
Criminally underrated
far out stephen i can really dig your scene its groovy and out of sight
So love haring Ringo and his distinctive drumming!!!!!! Love Stephen!
I put this version, the 1981 version , a 1970 (!) version from the "Four Way Street" concerts and the Pointers' version in my PS playlist.
One of my favorite songs by Stephen! Thank you for the video!
Talk about having identifiable drums. The first fill he does is not only pretty awesome, but he might as well have just yelled "RINGO!!!" into his mic.
One of the true haunting songs in my life..To this day it touches and moves me...I love his music.
Stephen played piano, organ and bass on this track. The lead guitar is by Donnie Dacus. As has already been stated by others here, the vocals were performed by Crosby, Stills & Nash, and Ringo Starr played the drums.
Wearing his LSU football shirt! :) I've always loved his tunes.
a mellower version (without a rhythm section or guitar solo) was recorded by CSN during the "Daylight Again" sessions. It's on their boxed set (see my playlist). Thanks for uploading this one!
Thanks my Friend... A brotherly greeting from Italy. Ciao.
You're very welcome Lesley, I'm the information man LOL, see you,

Thank you for the info!
Ditto. I just turned 60 too.
One of my favorite albums. It helped formulate a very special part of my life. It's a hidden gem, this album, with Stills producing some very sweet, easy mid-70's tunes. It was a mellow part of his life and this album tells that story. Get it, listen to each song, enjoy, repeat.
The "My Angel" song, track 5 of this same album, side one, listed this song as being on the "Illegal Stills" album, it is not. Just letting you Stills fans know, if you didn't know already. This Stills, Stills LP (released in 1976) is very hard to find. I lost my only copy of the CD that I purchased on ebay in 2001. there is no download for it on kickasstorrents or any other torrent search site. If anyone has any suggestions where I could download this album, please pass it on!
Lesley Reany
Hey there Lesley, a gentle correction- this album was released in June 1975, not 1976.
This song was track 9, side 2 of Stephen Stills, second self titled LP in 1976, it is NOT the album that is included with the song on the youtube video. I have found that there are quite a few incorrect album associations on youtube in regards to some of Stephen Stills solo releases.
Guess who plays drums here? give up?
Ringo star (I see someone already mentioned it is ok, great drums
David Crosby and Graham Nash on vocals, with Stephen on this. And BTW, the drummer on this is Ringo. Nice.......
At 60 and following CSNY for 40= years this really hits home.
unbelievable album.. where can I get it? the one he made with Donnie Dacus of Chicago...
This was a wonderful album. I agree with Burt472, please download all this album! LOL
Beautiful...Thanks for uploading. I'd like to see all songs from the "Stills" Album uploaded...Thanks in advance
What a gorgeous face.
