A girl born from the union of a man and an airplane. She is an ace pilot. I have shared this with a lot of people I know and their response was always Defuq and I laugh every time The Ballad of Lily was perfect for this song as an introduction slow and lovely to catchy and upbeat

The first day I heard this song I thought this was about Amelia Earhart so I spent my day to research her and find out if this story was true... then I read the comments and its just about a man getting an airplane pregnant and the girl being half plane. The thumbnail now makes sense.

Omg, I missed this classic! I wondered what happened to The Jon though. Like I tried to find info on it ever since Hatchworth became apart of the band but never got a clear answer. Also love this band and everything. Seriously, found this when I was listening to steampunk for the first time and that steampunk I listened to was a collection of many different steampunk bands.  Fell in deep love for the music. Abney Park, The Cog is Dead and Voltaire. They were three great bands but first song of Steam Powered Giraffe in it was Airheart and this takes me back to when I first listened to it. Then I moved to honeybee then so forth. I just loved this band and I want you to get a bigger following. You guys disserve it. Your band to me is like the Incredible Amazing Spider Hulk.

why would he be surprised he did..it..with the plane? what if he was flying in the plane..and crashed..and lived but the plane was broken. wasnt hatchworth built from a stove or something..? why not a plane in to a robot. maybe he didnt know his plane..was a robot and fell in love with Bree?

+MC. Gemstone She was a famous 1920s-1930s pilot who also paved the way for female aviators in general. One day her plane disappeared (with her and I believe her navigator on it) and we still don't know what happened.

OK So let me get this straight.
This song is about a guy unknowingly falling in love with a plane and having a child with-... Her? Yeah I'm gonna go with her.
And then said child goes on to fall in love with a pilot and after he dies she starts hearing his voice.

...Is it just me or could this make for a pretty cute short story.
