I look forward to seeing her either in Los Angeles or New York. Yes, Candi is singing secular music but she is still as much a practicing Christian as before. Just listen to her interviews. The non-gospel songs are clean songs that are about life's experiences, things that we go through. This woman has suffered a lot in life and I am sure she is every bit as theological and Christ-centered as before. She is only singing "life songs," as she puts it, and I am glad for her because she can used by God in all she does as long as she keeps her daily walk with God and fills her heart with the truth of the Gospel of holiness. I love her and I wish I could one day meet her in person. She made a huge impact on my life while I was growing up listening to her Christian music (my favorite was "Oh, How He Must Love Me" and "The Greatest Worship"). I will continue to keep her in prayer as she works hard for the glory of God, no matter what genre she is singing. I hope to be at the concert! God bless you, Candi!

Candi went back to singing the blues because the gospel community was judgmental towards her when she went through her divorce with Otis Nixon. They stop playing her gospel stuff on the radio. She was getting offers from the secular arena and she took them.
