I've listened to countless covers to see which ones I'd like. While The Ramones' original is still my favorite, one aspect I love about the covers is their sheer variety. It speaks to the song's timelessness.

This really serves the theme too, in how it's given new life with every iteration and different versions aren't afraid to experiment. I particularly like how some do their own take on the lyrics. This is mine:

I feel like gadge is the one who sang this when he got older because like you know, maybe his parents had to decide to keep them alive but then they made him a promise to never tell anyone about the family or else they would bury him in the same area de were buried in.and when he got older people saw him with his family and so then he sang the song and then murdered the kids who saw him (18 Year old kids) and it goes on and on until one kid actually promises to not tell anyone about the family

Just watched the movie, hadn't seen or read anything prior and loved it, though I heard from a friend it was vastly different. I did take the time to listen to the old version of this song and I like it, but I love this version, imma be listening to this for hours!

Haven't seen the remake, but it seems like it doesn't have shit on the book or the original movie anyways. Ludlow never had a cult based off the Pet Sematary, like that is such a weird choice. Is the Wendigo even in this film? Cause if the creature makes an appearance that'd be incredible!

@Josef Schwartz Bro, you should def see it. I loved the book and the originals, but think I like this updated version even more. There were some changes made, but for the better, in my opinion. It took me a while to pull the trigger, but was very pleasantly surprised, especially at the end. And it was the Mi'kmaq Natives. Lol. As for the Wendigo.... see it for yourself. 😜
