Staples, Mavis - We Shall Not Be Moved Lyrics

We shall not, we shall not be moved
We shall not, we shall not be moved
Just like a tree that's standing by the water
We shall not be moved

We shall not, we shall not be moved
We shall not, we shall not be moved
The union is behind us,
We shall not be moved

We shall not, we shall not be moved
We shall not, we shall not be moved
We're fighting for our freedom,
We shall not be moved

We shall not, we shall not be moved
We shall not, we shall not be moved
We're fighting for our children,
We shall not be moved

We shall not, we shall not be moved
We shall not, we shall not be moved
We'll building a mighty union,
We shall not be moved

We shall not, we shall not be moved
We shall not, we shall not be moved
Black and white together,
We shall not be moved

We shall not, we shall not be moved
We shall not, we shall not be moved
Young and old together,
We shall not be moved

This song need to continued to be sang because the struggle still exist, our young people today are the target.  We need to teach them to be positive and unmovable and we need to also be an example for them as well.

The power to change a world lies within us all. The human voice is a powerful weapon. The question is...are we going to use the power or stand in silence? I love this song, I am not Black and still love this song! I think that all peoples living in America should think about this song, we are being invaded from within and they are trying to separate us. Union makes force. A split country is easy to take over, to control, Instead of fighting about color or sexual preference we should be fighting for our freedom and our right to protect our Constitution which guarantees our rights.
Have you checked your rights lately? I meant the rights given to us by our Constitution. The same rights that are slowly being taken away from us. Those of us who live under the American flag, Black, White, any sexual orientation, legal or illegal, all the political parties, we all make our home here, PEOPLE, WAKE UP!!!

    a.... ....
