Staind - Suffocate Lyrics
I feel nothing
Longing for something
Lie in bed to take your clothes off
Show me what you're made of
Drugs to soothe me
(All alone)
Leave me here I'm dying
(All alone)
Just kicked me in my face
(All alone)
All alone and crying
(All alone)
I suffocate
I'm not gifted
Try hard try hard
To see if I can push you any further
Drugs to soothe me
(All alone)
Leave me here I'm dying
(All alone)
Just kicked me in my face
(All alone)
All alone and crying
(All alone)
I suffocate
Please believe you'll save me, rearrange me
I can feel your feelings running through me
Take away my sorrow my tomorrow
Heal me
(All alone)
Leave me here I'm dying
(All alone)
Just kicked me in my face
(All alone)
All alone and crying
(All alone)
I suffocate
I'm suffocating
SUFFOCATE (come suffocate)

I played this album while I was playing Spiderman (ps4)
THE TOP OF THE FOOD CHAIN will be the last one standing. STAINED imbeciles the best <33
Staind rocks!!!!
Staind is the shit man!
Is that Jim Root in the cover?
I remember I got really into Break The Cycle after it came out in 2001, I still love that record, and after that I bought Dysfunction and the guy at Tower Records asked me “are you sure you don’t wanna buy the new album?” And I told him I knew what I was doing. I heard the main riff of this song and I was banging my head and pumping my fist in the air.
2:57 SUFFOCATE!!!!!!!!!!
people dont get how poetic aaron lewis was when he was with staind... almost every song made me think "damn aaron, who tf hurt you man"
I Will Go back to the 90s
Love this Song !!!!
I'm a chronic narcissist lover. This has my shit for a lifetime. Mom, is that you
Oops bought this in like 97 or 99 or some shit like that....before iPods...all us cool kids had CD players lol
I really do love the way Mike's guitar plays.
Hands down Staind's best album. They went down hill afterwards going softer. Try and change my mind.
Not necessarily, did you ever listen to their self titled album (2011) it definitely their heaviest since Dysfunction and nearly every song is Fantastic
God I miss 90s metal.
i knew nothing about 90's metal back in the 90's because i was born in 1996 and i was 3 years old when staind's album Dysfunction came out
patrick grondines I was born in 98. Love the kind of Nu Metal you’d heard from Linkin Park, Papa Roach, and Limp Bizkit; meaningful lyrics (minus Bizkit lol) and energetic riffs that just make you jump up and down! That’s music!
LOVE THIS FUCKING SONG!!!!!!!!
Korn influence is strong here but amazingly done.
Simply awesome riff!!!
26 people need to suffocate
Beautiful song
They opened their set with this song when I first saw them during the Dallas stop of the Sick and Twisted tour. Holy fuck, I went for Korn but was blown away by staind.
Suuufooocaaaateee!
that was the best part ever where Aaron Lewis screams that part
what happened to music like this, such great music i just wanna fuckin break shit
music didn't change, we all just got cynical
lmfao...
GOD I MISS THIS SHIT!!🤘
I ment korn issues and follow the leader fuckin spell Check
I think mudshovel and that whole album was there best just like lot not follow the leader and issues the old dark shit is the best
Back in the late 90's Staind was scheduled to play instead for headliner band "Better than Ezra" who canceled. Staind was ready to go when Better than Ezra showed up. Well Staind plugged in outside somehow and the crowd was way bigger than what was inside.
Rick Glanville thats sounds awesome
Cuz stained is felt. Better than ezra is listened to.
SUFFOCATE!!!!!!!!!!!
SUFFOCATE!!!!!!!!!!!
SUFFOCATE!!!!!!!!!!!
SUFFOCATE!!!!!!!!!!!
"So Fuck Hate"
I really hope I'm not the only one who notices how groovy the bass is during each of the verses. Like are you kidding me? No sir, Johnny "Old Skool" April was certainly not kidding in the least. Quite possibly in my top 3 Staind songs, def top 5 no doubt. And yes, that is saying something ppl.
agreed. this is one of the most underrated albums in existence.
Completely agree, Old Skool is a beast! the bass lines for the verses of Suffocate and Crawl are my favorites.
lo maximo
Aaaah this came out back when I was in highschool. So much good music was coming out back then, I wish we would have continued on that trajectory. But now it seems, good rock/metal albums are sparse.
Man compare this song to the outside live version with fred durst. Such a difference but still 2 great songs
This sounds like Korn
Korn's selftitled first track "blind" it's got that heavy groove that makes you wanna hit shit
James Aguayo I can 100% see what you're saying. Staind and KoRn are my 2 favorite bands and have been since I've been in middle school and I'm 25 now. Staind songs such as Spleen, A Flat, Crawl, Suffocate, petty much their entire Dysfunction album. It's in part due to both bands using low tuning, and the similar groovy bass lines.
I wouldn't say they share the same sound but I say they share that rawness and emoition that is hard to find
It's called "ripping off" #fuckstaind
Still amazing cd front start to finish after all these years
my top five full cd!
Gah-lee that rock n' roll!
@Joshua Albino Batista
Goddamn this song is so powerful. The "Just kicked me in my face!!!!" part just gets me amped up every time.
Que música foda!
Love this song so much!!!
Best album by Staind. Rest is shit.
Imo, The Illusion of Progress and onward weren't good. The first 5 I liked but I love the first 3 albums
Tormented?
I remember my buddy trying to turn me onto this band when they first came out and I avoided it for like 6 months. For some reason I equated them to those shitty industrial bands like Disturbed. Then I heard "Home" on the radio and I ran to the record store and bought it. I was blown away on the first listen. What a great album from start to finish.
Ahh, back when Staind was heavier. I still love them, but this album was epic and underrated.
@***** I agree with you, those albums rock the most!
For real! Break The Cycle was my favorite album until I heard Dysfunction.
heavier? bahaha
Dysfunction is pissed from the first to the last songs.
I bought this CD from Media Play the first week it was out and it blew up.....rightfully so.
Every angst filled teen could totally relate to this.
Before iPods mofos,Thanks to my friend Luke Asher for suggesting I buy this disc.
Their self titled was just as heavy as this album
im feeling this right now..

1. Deftones is epic, 2. So is this song!
Fuck staind
@Ted Ryan fuck you pussy
Suffocate is my favourite track from Staind's highly underrated dysfunction album.
