Stacy was the first choice to sing "Ring my Bell" by Anita Ward. But her mom thought the lyrics of Ring my Bell were too risqué for a 12 year old to sing, so the producers were forced to give the song to Anita Ward who took the tune all the way to number one on the Hot 100 and the Disco chart as well.
