Stabilo - Used To Be Lyrics

I used to be an angel, I used to talk to God
I used to believe in miracles, a miracle went wrong
I used to be a space boy, ya a race boy
I used to be on fire
Now you tell me your not worth it, I'll tell you your a liar
Your a liar, your a liar

But I am free, I stood upon the edge and looked over
And thats me, that pretty face so out of place,
That broken smile somehow worthwhile
Add it up and then we're away

But I wanna hear you laugh, I wanna see you cry
I wanna wipe the tears that fall from your eyes
I saw you last night, you said you'd be there today
One minute your gone, the next you will stay

I'm not proud of most of my friends,
Oh there just like me,
But I don't blame them for my actions,
And we're closer than the sea, then we'll see, ya we'll see

But I am free, I stood upon the edge and looked over
And thats me, that pretty face so out of place,
That broken smile somehow worthwhile
You say that your gone but you wait for me,
Ya you me, I'm leavin, but you wait for me
And you know that I'll wish you away

But I wanna hear you laugh, I wanna see you cry
I wanna wipe the tears that fall from your eyes
I saw you last night, you said you'd be there today
One minute your gone, the next you will stay

I woke up this morning and I said to myself,
How you gonna change the world if your stuck upon the shelf?
Its the big things I remember, the little things I forgot
But if you add it all up, that's a hell of alot

But I wanna hear you laugh, I wanna see you cry
I wanna wipe the tears that fall from your eyes
I saw you last night, you said you'd be there today
One minute your gone, the next you will stay

  14. D.... ....

    I just bough the 20 pack for 10€ :D
But seriously, how the heck do you hold your pens? Looks weird to me. And it's not just you, I noticed the 'wrong' writing posture in many american videos.

    D.... ....

I'm American, and I have a theory. A lot of people I know have developed this sort of "holding stance" when they write. Many of them have done this since elementary school. I think heavy handed writers adopt this pen holding position to ease the pressure on their fingers and thumb. Also, a good majority of us have huge callouses on our middle fingers from heavy handed writing. In the States, a lot of elementary schools favor a lot of repetitive writing drills. Holding the pencil or pen with the thumb in the "over" position helped many a child deal with hand strain. Then, it just became automatic to hold the pen/pencil that way. I'm not sure if it's common in other countries or not. But, most of the people I've seen write this way are American and often those that write using a lot of pressure.

    D.... ....

@Jennifer Mertens Thanks for the explanation. Here in germany we use fountain pens from first or second grade on. Not kidding, they're only ~10€, not those expensive ones you have in america. And you have to hold them with your fingertips.
Yes, it's very annoying and even painfull. But it's considered the right way and simply something you have to do.
I don't think that I know anybody who holds a pen the american way.

I just bought a Stabilo point 88 50 pack on Amazon with all the colors as on the stabilo site it says there are 47 colors available. Might be pricey but HIGHLY recommend it for a fellow Stabilo lover! https://www.amazon.com/STABILO-point-88-fineliner-colors/dp/B01MTRTBAZ/ref=asc_df_B01MTRTBAZ/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=309804193873&hvpos=1o1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=3244580452219260728&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=t&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9031549&hvtargid=pla-420084305656&psc=1

  19. A.... L....

    Great pens

  20. E.... S....

Here in Italy Stabilo point 88 are very Popular. But TRATTO PEN is more popular, often we even use the word “Tratto Pen” as a synonym for Fineliner😃.

    E.... S....

    Verissimo 😂

    E.... S....

How do the Trattos write (I'm American, so idk if we have them here) my papermate fineliners kinda dried out on me

    E.... S....

Jackeline Frost in this video you can see how they write and How beautiful they are (it is in italian language): https://youtu.be/cR2vyERAJok

  21. f.... ....

Those markers are a must have for everyone here in Croatia!

  22. T.... S....

I discovered these pens at my university bookshop a year ago. They sold them individually. I kept going back until I got every colour they had. Love love love these pens! I too press hard when I write.

  23. R.... _....

I’m dutch and every person in my class in primary school had a stabilo pen and a marker set, it’s very very very well known!!!

  24. E.... W....

I am in Europe (Germany) and I can say that they are available EVERYWHERE for really little money :-)

  25. J.... ....

Is really well known in Brazil as well

  26. A.... A....

    That’s great!!!

  27. d.... ....

I confirm. I am in Spain and the stabilos are super popular and well regarded here. These are my favs too. I adore them

  28. j.... ....

I pulled the trigger!!!! I went to Amazon and bought them. My cheap fine liners are breaking apart at the tip (causing those micro-spittles and annoying scratchy noise.) This price is great. Less than $1 per pen. Thank you Cindy for being an enabler.

  29. W.... ....

MAH FAVORITE! Glad to see other people like them too!! There is 47! I'mma be stalking THOSE!

  30. K.... P....

Cindy, I'm playing catch up with videos at the moment (work and family, aka some of the reasons I need my planner LOL). I just came across this and have to say that yes, the shape and design are absolutely a dead giveaway if you're European. I grew up with those fineliners and was always a bit torn because of one thing - and I'd love your input on it, if you have any! Every single time I bought a pack, I had a number of them that (while working great like the rest of them in the beginning) ended up being kind of wonky after a while. And by that, I mean that they would just be all scratchy and not write well (if at all) anymore unless I held them so that the tip would hit the paper creating a 90 degree angle with it. It was not every fineliner, but usually the ones I actually used more frequently. I thought it might be because I can be quite heavy handed, but seeing your video now makes me doubt that that is the reason. Did this odd thing ever occur to you? Cause dang, girl, I miss using them, such a throw back! But since I've become a die hard paper planner person (again), I've been going with Staedtler, because I haven't had this issue with them (yet?), but I agree, the caps are a bit irritating at times.

  31. C.... D....

I love the Stabilos as much as you do! They're a staple in my journal.

  32. T.... m....

Thank you so much Cindy I love these pens!! And your channel Heavy handers unite!🤣

  33. N.... N....

I just found an 8 pack of these in my drawer lol. Love them.

  34. S.... ....

I love my Stabilo 88 so much! They are affordable, perform well on many types of paper and can withstand my iron fist. I want to have all the colours too though :)

  35. A.... R....

I bought Stabilos one day on a whim last year. I love them. Use them daily in my planner.

  36. A.... C....

I remember first seeing these in Bolivia when I was younger and they were sold individually. They were like Pokémon balls, everyone was trying to catch them all.

  37. N.... P....

I’m curious to know if there is a difference between the stabilo point 88 and the stabilo point 68 pens besides the barrel colors

    N.... P....

Nikki Pennish the 68's are more like a felt tip pen

    N.... P....

Stabilo 68 are thicker. Stabilo 88 are 0.4mm while 68 are 1.0 mm

  38. N.... ....

I would love to see your review of the Stabilo sensor pens! I think they would be considered fineliners. :)

  39. V.... ....

Would love a comparison of the Artline Stix Drawing Pens compared to the other fineliners
    http://artlinestix.com.au/our-range/pens/

  40. K.... K....

I like the colors of the Stabilos but in my experience they ran out of ink so quickly they weren't worth it.

  41. J.... P....

Where did you come up with the names of the pens ??

    J.... P....

Stabilo has given them the names.
You can see them when they're sold online individually.

  42. R.... S....

I know I already love these but I literally just watched this to see them in use haha

  43. M.... P....

    Def team Stabilos. They're dope.

  44. E.... H....

Anyone else notice that red is also #40? I immediately thought, of course red is 40, red dye #40.

  45. t.... ....

I'm so glad you did this review Cindy! A couple of years ago I discovered a (what I now know the colour as) Azure 88 in my pen stash....absolutely no idea how it randomly appeared in my stash or how I 'acquired' it lol...but I absolutely love it - I'd class it as one of my favourites of what I have here, as far as comfort/smoothness when using etc. Because its blue (azure) its lasted as I dont use it that often...and being my favourite I didnt want it to run out :( haha.  Everything you said about them, is why I love mine...and yes the barrel is for me also, very comfortable.  I haven't bought any more colours....but I think I will now!

  46. T.... M....

    Stabilos are my favorite.

    T.... M....

    Mine too, for fineliners.

  47. B.... P....

    Stabilos are my favourite.
I love the colour range and they don’t get wrecked with my heavy hand either 😊

  48. O.... ....

Have you tried the stabilo 68s? How do they compare?

  49. S.... L....

You should review the arteza fineliners I have them, and I think they would be good comparison to the stabilos etc

  50. M.... A....

I'm french (living in NY right now) but it's been years that I have those and I love them !! Great pens, I really like the cap, it's really thin, cute colors etc.
Everyone got those at school etc

  51. A.... K....

So the tips stood up to your iron fist huh? ;) ..couldn’t resist.

  52. E.... -....

    Your the best, thanks demonstrating

  53. D.... H....

My only issue with Stabilo fineliners is the plastic is softer than the Staedtler fineliners and my cat can chew through the lids easier. I've definitely lost a few before finding a spot my cat couldn't get to them while still being convenient to use. Other than that I love them and I've got a light hand so they've lasted me a while.

  54. c.... ....

I'm in the UK, and these seem to be the most popular here. I actually like them more than microns(don't dry out as quick) , but as someone else mentioned, they are hard to use for a long time. Also, the absence of a hook thing on the cap irks, as I'd like to put them in my pen loop on my STM. I don't like to carry a bunch of stuff around, so I don't carry a pencil case.

  55. J.... ....

Ohhh I am SOLD!! THANK YOU Soooo much for this video Cindy!!!

  56. A.... R....

Am I the only one who is bothered on a purely aesthetic basis by the yellow number 2 pencil style barrel on these? I don't know why, but I don't even like old school yellow pencils and prefer mechanical pencils at least partly for this reason. The last hexagonal barrel pencils I bought were natural, unpainted wood, so maybe it's just the color that bothers me... It may be a good pen, but I don't think I'll ever buy them.

    A.... R....

    Alex Reith same.

    A.... R....

For me, its the opposite - this is also part of the reason why I love them.  Funny how we all can look at the same thing and form a completely different view! :)

    A.... R....

You aren't the only one. This sounds funny but I love organizing my colored pens in "hot to cool" color order and just the look inspires me to create. The yellow throws me off. Stupid I know.

  57. S.... ....

I, too, love Stabilo 88s. I got the rest of the colors at a Jerry's Artarama locally, although it looks like they aren't available individually on their website.

  58. A.... H....

I agree the stabilos are great! I just wish they had a widder grip like the pigma microns or faber castel pit artist pens. As someone who likes to take notes for a few hours at a time with colored pens my hand gets tired faster when i use skinny pens.

  59. C.... t....

Thank you lovely 💖 I will have to try these too I'm in love with the steadtlers lol love n hugs xxxxx

  60. 0.... ....

In Germany those fineliners are very well-known, in my 13 years of school I didn't know anybody who didn't have these pens. Seems like everybody had at least the standard 10-pens-pack :D

    0.... ....

Made in Germany 😂😭 Saving the money to buy the 50 pack 😎

    0.... ....

  61. G.... U....

There was one thing that you said in this video, that I am surprised you didn’t comment more on..... sorry (not sorry) I have to do it 😜.

“Getting them off” —> name of your sex tape

  62. N.... S....

    yay i'm early

    .

  63. J.... V....

I can confirm : I'm in France, and the Stabilo fineliners are very well-known here ! ;)

    J.... V....

And the netherlands! Here it is more of a school / children thing though. Like.. It is the basic. Then you get the rest. (Which is kinda saddening to me.)

    J.... V....

    Same here Mauritius 🇲🇺

    J.... V....

    And holland!

    J.... V....

Guys Holland & the Netherlands are the same😐 It’s true though!

    J.... V....

Anais Bastien-Sylva Do they even exist there? Wait do you have wifi there?

  64. L.... D....

To me the stabilo are not as heavy duty as the staedler and are a bit more scratchy

  65. N.... C....

They’re the same in the United Kingdom Cindy x

  66. p.... ....

So sweet that you're passing pens onto your daughter! Wish I had a pen obsessed mom like you!!!

  67. P.... A....

I absolutely love this particular pen set as well!!! I had the same experience with steadler pens, as soon as I started writing I could feel that the pen wanted to smoosh!!! I also have a hvy hand so yeah I’m also a little biased to these! They’re just really a great pen and I really love how they look to!!

  68. J.... T....

The sturdy Stabilo is super sexy!☺️.
