Never been a big fan of his, honestly, but this, *THIS* is the greatest Christmas song of all, and the season doesn't really start until I hear it. Max's drumming really makes this pop, and Clarence is obvs great. Can any of the BS superfans tell me where this was recorded? He must have performed it many, many times, but for whatever reason, this version is the one that endures. Great, great, great. :) Merry Christmas.

I remember listening to Pick Of The Pops on Radio 1 on 20 December 1992, when the late great Alan "Fluff" Freeman played the UK Top 10's of that day 1960 - 1973 - 1985.
He played Bruce's song that was at No.9 on that day in '85.
No.9 was as high as that great song got to and I think that the song should've been a UK Top 5 hit.

Does anyone know if there's a video of this version? I've listened to this version many times over the years. I always wondered what exactly was happening while Bruce was singing.

It was recorded in upstate NY (I forgot the town), back in December of '75. Bruce had just came off the success of Born to Run. This was on the flip side of a 45 single I bought of Bruce back in the 80's.
