Springsteen, Bruce - Ramrod Lyrics

Hey, little dolly with the blue jeans on
I wanna ramrod with you honey, till half-past dawn
Let your hair down sugar and pick up this beat
Come on and meet me tonight down on Bluebird Street
I've been working all week, I'm up to my neck in hock
Come Saturday night I let my ramrod rock

She's a hot stepping hemi with a four on the floor
She's a roadrunner engine in a '32 Ford
Late at night when I'm dead on the line
I swear I think of your pretty face when I let her unwind
Well look over yonder see them city lights
Come on little dolly 'n' go ramroddin' tonight

Come on, come on, come on little baby
Come on, come on let's shake it tonight
Come on, come, come on little sugar
Dance with your daddy and we'll go ramroddin' tonight

Hey, little dolly won't you say you will
Meet me tonight up on top of the hill
Well just a few miles cross the county line
There's a cute little chapel nestled down in the pines
Say you'll be mine little girl I'll put my foot to the floor
Give me the word now sugar, we'll go ramroddin' forever more

Looks like Bruce is back to being a Chevy Guy in his NEW video, "Hello Sunshine"  with a; 1970 "SS" ElCamino with a 454.  I remember when I first heard this Ram Rod lyric (She's a Road Runner engine in a 32' Ford ) I was like, "Oh, MOPAR and a Light weight FORD--that combo will fly !!"  Good Stuff.

Other than brother Bobby Keys who is his total equal Clarence Clemons is the greatest rock and roll sax man of all time. R.I.P. to both. You rocked our worlds with your magic!

This is a great rocking song!  Back in 1981 when I was renting a room in my friend's house.  I used to listen to this song on a lot on Thursday nights.  In the living room Bob had 2 homemade speakers that were as big a washer and dryer. I would crank up the volume to maximum, put on the record and set down the needle and then just play this song over and over.  After a few times I would finish my beer and head out to Ladies Night in Boulder.  Usually came home alone.  But I still loved this song.

...I take it you're not a lady... ;-)  haha   But yes, GREAT (loud) music will ALWAYS get you through times of "No _ _ _ _ _ _" [fill in the blanks, ie., lady, money, weed, you name it!). My other fave from the Boss is Cadillac Ranch! Spent some time working in Denver, Longmont, Cheyenne back in the 70s/80s. Hooked up with an absolute doll from Pine Bluff, NE. Man, that was a sweet run for a couple months! While music IS awesome, music AND loving is so much better, eh?!  ROCK ON K-East, and here's wishing you better success with the ladies, my friend!

What an awesome b-bopping song.  Absolutely love it.   Sure would put a dance in your step after listening to this awesome tune.
