Springsteen, Bruce - Prove It All Night Lyrics
I've been working real hard, trying to get my hands clean,
We'll drive that dusty road from Monroe to Angeline,
To buy you a gold ring and pretty dress of blue,
Baby just one kiss will get these things for you,
A kiss to seal our fate tonight,
A kiss to prove it all night.
Prove it all night,
Girl there's nothing else that we can do,
Except prove it all night, prove it all night,
And girl I prove it all night for you.
Everybody's got a hunger, a hunger they can't resist,
There's so much that you want, you deserve much more than this,
Well if dreams came true, oh, wouldn't that be nice,
But this ain't no dream we're living off through tonight,
And prove it all night.
Prove it all night,
Prove it all... I've even called the bluff,
We'll prove it all night, prove it all night,
Girl I prove it all night for your love.
Baby, tie your hair back in a long white bow,
Meet me in the fields, behind the dynamo,
You hear their voices telling you not to go,
They made their choices and they'll never know,
What it means to steal, to cheat, to lie,
What it's like to live and die,
And prove it all night.
Prove it all night,
Girl there's nothing else that we can do,
Except prove it all night, prove it all night,
And girl I prove it all night for you.
I prove it all night...
I prove it all night...
I prove it all night...
I prove it all night...
I prove it all night...
I prove it all night...
I prove it all night...
I prove it all night...

More triangle!
Little Stevie with the beret..those we're the days albums and cassettes. My zenith turn table took a beating by over playing the Boss on it. I would stare at the albums and recite the lyrics. ..oh the innocence is gone but the music and memories take you rite back in time.
Love this live version, gives an already great song a new dimension
Absolute Class! 🙌
The Boss.
Kinda of a drama queen...but solid
best video on youtube
I m a 1972 birth man.. an I Love it - the rest of my life. Its the Boss only!
Look at how much hair Bruce had back then. Look at how much hair we all had back then...
prove it all nightのギターソロが好きです。
j'aime bien ses solos ils sont rough
this song is a "pre- because the night" - he kept this one and give the other !! arg
My first Bruce concert was a 1978 Philadelphia Darkness tour show via Columbia records. A comp ticket to a sold out show at the Spectrum! I was working retail/ wholesale in the record business at the time! It was a 3 hours + show!
This was the Bruce I liked in the 70s. Guitar driven. I stopped liking him when the River came out. Some good stuff on the River though but to me he changed or maybe I changed. I discovered heavy metal in 80 and I am still a metalhead today but all the Bruce albums up to and including Darkness are great.
BIG MAN!
I saw this tour when i was in high school at the hollywood sportatorium down in Miami Fla. To this day one the best concert's ive ever seen. The big man wore a red suit in the first half of the show' and a blue one the socond half. Went to school that monday at Miami Norland Sr and was like WHOA....
Fuckin Insane
From 1:55 to 2:00 that face!!!!
Un giovane bello e talentuoso Bruce!!! 😅😅😍😍😍😘😘💔💔💞💞💘💯
The true legend massively talented ❤️
Saw him in the Meadowlands a bunch of years back-- he turned that huge arena into 1 giant person, amazing
A few days before this concert in Phoenix, maybe in Dallas, a "journalist" from Rolling Stone Magazine wrote Bruce's guitar play was, "marginal." This introduction was Springsteen's reply.
Legend!
Easily one of the best guitar solos he’s ever performed.
This song goes out to Lisa R., Class of 1983, Terre Haute North High School.
This guy was soooo much better than the "Bruce Springsteen" who has been peddling albums and concerts since the 90s.
Bruce is timeless.....no bullshit all passion .....just a great one!
Have been on Bruces journey since 73 and loved it all the great man has produced brilliance
I live for this,,
Sofieann Berry
The greatest live rock n roll band in history - Roy Bittan's virtuoso piano playing was the glue that held it all together. Timeless.
Great song!! Bruce Springsteen Is fabulous on guitar! An utmost. Favorite and on 4 of my playlists!!
OMG so f'n hot. Rock and Roll ridiculousness.
Actually the BEST song ever!
This one is good, no doubt. But the Landover (Largo) version is even better and deserves an official release, too. Even if not available in best video quality, they should release Largo '78.
I have been to hundreds of concerts, seen all the big acts, but Bruce in September 78 was the best show I ever attended.
Yeah, it's hard to explain to people what those 78 shows were like. I saw 4 of them, never saw anything better.
Why the fuck is Bruce's finest live performance not on any album or streaming service.?????
How nice to watch this at a time when the horrible disco sounds aren't around ... but then the tuneless music of today is even worse!
The Boss - a true man of the people...
This completely eclipses the plodding studio version.
Oh boy, you can never get enough of this song... and this is the best version of it I have ever seen or listened to... Bruce at his very best both as a singer and as a shredder... as somebody said before me, the Boss has been proving it his entire career...
Bruce was so good in the day that I forgive him his politics today. And that's not easy to do. Darkness on the Edge of Town is one of the all time best albums. Every song on it is great!
The only thing that can be faulted here is the haircut
Really? My hair was like that in the 70's and I thought I was pretty cool. You must be young.
That period of Darkness/The River when the band and Bruce were as one. The law suit kept them on the road and they were the tightest, most rocking band out there with a set list that went on forever. Their career was defined by this period. he was a star before superstardom in 1985.To see them in this period made you want to be in a band like that. From 6.30 when that gtr fires up and they go into overdrive
One of two in whose hands the guitar is the instrument of a shaman (Townshend is the other one).
Then of course you have to mention Steve Howe 🎸
This is why The Eagles sang that song about him.
That's some damn good timing at 2:22
70 people who disliked this should be assasinated
IMMEDIATELY.
The greatest musical artist of all time as far as I am concerned. Absolutely in a class of his own as a songwriter and live performer.
This song Still goes out to Lisa R., Class of 1983, Terre Haute North High School, United States.
Who came here by Pat Byrne aka Wing Man?
Single view and you have a new god.
The concert before this one, before Phoenix, maybe in Dallas or Houston, Rolling Stone Magazine did an article on Springsteen. In this article, the writer referred-to Springsteen's guitar play as, "marginal." The introduction here to "Prove It All Night" was Bruce's response to that bullshit article.
Clarence's hair is looking fine and I dare anyone to play a triangle like he did. Love you C!
I saw a Springsteen concert in 1979 ........4 straight hours!! HE IS THE BOSS!!
I Proved it all night & day the first successful years spent at GVSU, radio station was WSRX , 88.5 FM which would therefore to prove our education matters and we go to prove it all through our radio lives in career,,, God bless everyone , a kiss & hug to all - we did it well, folks
One of the best performances ever!
If you don't feel that guitar rip into your soul, you might not be human.
The definitive version is Roxy 78.
I’m prob the only thirteen year old who listens to who him and met him. He pointed to my family during dancing in the dark at the I zod center In nj during his wrecking ball tour.

People forget Bruce is also an awesome guitarist
Just... holy absolute fuck. Not even two minutes in and already I just cannot
👍🏻
That cannot be possible
The intro formerly known as Prince.
I love love love the long intro on this one and the awesome guitar solos!
The main reasons I got that telecaster tattooed to me as the rebellious teen I wanted to be before I turned 20 (2014), thanks Bruce for everything, you're music and inspiration grows better as you age ( no offence ) BDP, Hawera, New Zealand
❤❤❤👏👐🌜🌛❤💙💛WOW BRUCE FRIEND👐🎶🎸🎸🎵🎧🎶PROVE IT ALL NIGHT👐👍❤💙💛AMAIZING
I’ve always loved Bruce’s early stuff,it really showcases his prolific drive, rawness and energy.
this intro is soo fuckin´ awesome...I LOVE IT
Legend...
Vraiment extra !
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Happy 70th Bruce Springsteen! You keep proving it every year
Happy HAPPY Birthday!!!
At 2:34 you can read Bruce’s lips on a stage aside. Right after the intro he turns to his left and says “Good job”, to pianist Roy Bittan I believe. Or maybe the rhythm section (drums, bass, piano). Just an example of The Boss being a good boss.
that rocks yeah you got to prove it for if you do not your screwed that is me google riel boire for music
Lots of stuff!
Been listening to Springsteen n the E Street band since I was 16. This is the concert I should have been at before I entered my life of disappointment, betrayal and heart ache. Thanks Bruce for being there to ease the pain
Kathy Jacques I hope things start looking up for you
Hey I appreciate your positive feed back
Wow.... Franco Battiato alla batteria :D
❤❤❤🎸🎶WOW BRUCE YOU ARE THE BOSS❤👏✌👐🎸🎶🎵🎸😍I❤👐🎶🎶🎸🎧🎷🎵❤💙🌜🌞
Not everybody can be the BOSS
People may hate on Bruce as a guitar player... this proves he can play.
I always though Bruce looked a lot like Bob Dylan at times but, is it just me or does Bruce look a hell of a lot like Al Pacino from like Dog Day Afternoon or Serpico? He must be a chameleon because he looks like several other people during the years.
Holy shit!!! Ive never really been that big into Bruce but have only now started to go thru some of his music and that opening guitar solo. . . wow. Definitely epic and killing it! Give me some of what he was on when he was ripping that guitar and I'd be a happy motherf'n camper, lol. He was feeling it though. And Clarence rocking that triangle with the smooth back & forth 2 step also killin it and feelin it. I guess they just entirely cut out that beginning solo for radio cause I never hear that on radio,
la mejor epoca del boss
Bruce Springsteen - The boss, the man, the genius, the music - Is beyond any kind of criticism and/or smart arse critique that may ever be levelled at him. He is just magnificent. The last of the superheroes. The American dream.
think if it this way... this was 1978.... disco was king and light rock was all over the radio... Bruce was not having any of that...
Anytime,,
This video gave me my rights
48 Bruce fans too drunk with pure joy and amazement to hit the right button – it's 1,5 inches only after all!
Massively underrated guitarist. There is a rawness and an energy to Bruce's guitar playing that is unlike any other performers. Haunting, enchanting, passionate & driven. He's always left me spellbound. Amongst his many other talents.
The Elder
A virtuoso on this instrument
Haunting plaintive wail in solidarity with a beleaguered sense that one way or another we are all pretty much blanked
I often don't know what people mean when they say a big successful performer is "underrated." In this case, Bruce is 96th on the Rolling Stone list of the top 100 guitarists. And I agree with you. He should be quite a bit higher than that. Not in the top 30, but much higher than 96.
39 mins in, and my downststairs does'nt know what to do!
Oh Lord, I can watch and listen to this every day of my life.."a 💋to prove it all night"...
holy shit
How did Bruce manage to not get pulled into the drug fueled 70s? Just another reason to admire the man
Daniel Akin never really thought of this... really rare and admirable considering how easily a famous he was he could’ve snapped his fingers and gotten anything
@Wooba gooba And the green teeth maybe cause he's got a brain, and dopers dont?
Daniel Akin yet hes got the energy of a good mdma night
Only the best rock'n'roll musician in the world can have God playing triangle in his band.
