I remember listening to this when it first came out on CD. I was five years old. Yea, that's right, I'm young as all hell. But years and years later I got to see Bruce live during the wrecking ball tour. My dad got us GA tickets and we got lucky enough to be right up on the stage. One of the nights (I went to several concerts during that tour), the night we were up front, he played this song with his HUGE E Street-Sessions hybrid band. The moment I heard that piano riff begin was probably most exciting moment of my life. It almost brings me to tears to think that these types of moments can't last forever, but it's reassuring that they've been saved for us so we can experience Bruce's magic for the rest of his days, our days, and the infinite days to come.

Know that feeling brother, mine was modern J99 at 21 tried commiting, song saved my life, I had debts no honest man could pay, bank was holding my mortgage, coming to take my house away, now I ain't saying that makes me an innocent man, it was all this and more judge that put that gun in my hand
