Easily one of my favorite of Bruce Springsteen's songs. I was teaching at the time this came out. (since retired after 33 yrs.) For whatever reason,I this song reminded me of the times my students lifted my spirits when life was a bit rough. His songs can definitely affect your emotions.

It's too bad he doesn't play a lot of these great songs during his tours, so many that don't get justice.

I've been a Bruce fan since 1980,,my brother introduced me to his music through "The river" which we used to play on a jukebox in a local bar,here in the west of Ireland.....sadly my brother died the following year in a tragic accident..i listen to Bruce & the e-street band every day of my life,,through this,,my brother remains by my side..Bruce IS a LEGEND...Roll on July 17th...the RDS in Dublin...slainte & peace to all..
