Spinal Tap - Cups And Cakes Lyrics
Cups and cakes
Cups and cakes
Oh, what good things mother makes
You've got to take tea won't you take it with me
What a gay time it will be
Cups and cakes
Cups and cakes
Please make sure that nothing breaks
The china's so dear and the treacle so clear
And I'm glad that you are here
Milk and sugar
Bread and Jam
Yes please, sir, and thank you ma'm
Here I am
Cups and cakes
Cups and cakes
I'm so full my tummy aches
How sad it must end
But I'm glad I've a friend
Sharing cups and cakes with me
And cakes with me...

Spinal Tap Cups And Cakes Comments
Spinal tap that reminds me of somebody I used to fuck. I called her my cupy cakes cuz I liked the way her titty cakes fit in bra cups she had nice tits. Hence the pet name cupy cakes and she did her sexy lil serpent dance. She was a major CUUUUUUUUUU-UNT!!
Oh what good things muvvvah makes!
Doesn't sound like John Stumpy Pepys was drumming here. Had he already died in the bizarre gardening accident?
Reminds me of The Beatles.
That keyboard solo soars like a mighty eagle
sounds like syd barrett
Exactly what I thought! Piper at the gates of dawn! It truly is a genius album, by the way.
Wait do I gotta take tea? Isn't this America? WTF?
Reminds me of something from The Who Sells Out or A Quick One
My, My ... this song is brilliant! Made me smile. Cannot wait to suggest this song as 'Cake Cutting song' for my wedding.
My 4 year old loves this song! Next ill show him how the amp in our house goes to 11!!!
Oh, yeah... goin' all the way back to 1965.
The Libertines song 'Albion' must have been inspired by this.
I found it bizarre that I found a vinyl album of Lenny and The Squigtones at Half Price Books. It blew my mind when I saw that the lead guitar player was Nigel Tuffnel.
I had a gay time hearing this song again.
*beer shoots out nose*
It's impossible not to feel queer when listening to this.
This was actually the Thamesmen.
Just a two word review...
sometimes. this song is making me wanted to play the Ps1, original gameboy. sega genesis. or better yet live in like in the 90's for some reason
They are currently residing the "Where Are They Now?" file.
@Cakes In The Rain
Interesting that the radio announcer and Derek are both played by the same actor
what the HELL is this shit?
inspired by apples and oranges by pink floyd perhaps
good call. the horn is reminiscent of beetles however
This is NOT Spinal Tap, people! Sheesh! It's the THAMESMEN, without Derek Smalls. Get it right!
+Ronald Gray
probably The Regulars
or was it the Lovely Lads?
@Michael Joyce No, the Originals changed their name to The Regulars. The New Originals could've changed their name back to the Originals, but they figured what's the point.
Ronald Gray I figure, what's the point, really?
Spinal Tap is to Thamesmen as New Order is to Joy Division?
No argument here.
"oh yeeaah!"
File that one under the "where are they now?" bin.
This is actually a pretty amazing song. Wonder if they played this at the Blues/Jazz Festival at the Isle of Lucy when Peter James Bond spontaneously combusted.
The apotheosis of music
Pinkie pie approves.
nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnooooooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnoooooooooooooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb
hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
In listening to this number, one can see where these lads were quite an influence on a young Lemmy Kilmister..
At least the cups and cakes weren't in danger of being smashed by a dwarf
Currently residing in the where are they now file.
still got the old tagger on it
The Thamesmen!
Good pretty song :)
@hellheadbanger ye...its so manly thats why
@caramelldansengal lol thats where i found it xD my dad was singing it i just rofl good thing the drum part didn't come till later i would i have failed lol
why go to 10 when you can go to 11?
One of the greatest songs ever written in the world & else where.
Hardcore.
@JustinBieberMustDie2 Watch the movie, you'll find out what this is about xD
HOW IS THIS METAL???? D:
Or was it the Thamesmen?
I really dig this song...
wasn't it great,
back when Bowie used to sing for Sgt Beatles Cloneley Hertz Clip Gland ?
Omg :D i watched a video which searched for the HEAVIEST DEATH CORE SONG EVER
there stood Spinal tap Cups And Cakes lol i thought cause it had 45 + it would be heavy nut this`xD
beautifull :)
Gay indeed! ._.
this is one of the funniest songs in existance.
they say this song is metal. HOW?!?!?!
you mean spinal tap as in the fictitious band in the mockumentary movie "This is Spinal Tap"?
This one gets funnier every single time I hear it. This is subtle comedy at its finest.
I'm in exactly the same situation as you. I always thought it was Nigel, but seeing them at Wembley showed that it was David singing... They were awesome anyway.
lol yea probably like, was an awsome gig tho lol
Just messin' around. I think someone was shouting that when it came on the radio. Props for making it to the One Night Only World Tour
im 25 not that much of an oldie
You're an oldie!
i think youre right it is david because i thought it was nigel but when i went to the gig at wembley last night david sang it but not that it matters because its still a great song and tap rock
I'm pretty sure that David is singing the whole time. You can hear it in the way he sings "mother makes" and "nothing breaks", though his choice of using a softer delivery totally sounds like Nigel. It's always sad to get to the end of this song, I only wish it was longer.
The best part is it sounds like something Colin Moulding might have written as a little kid!
It was made when they were the Thamesmen...
funny shit, cant really be them....
