Spice Girls - Walk Of Life Lyrics

I'm steppin' out into the walk of life
Hold tight the vibe is right
Feel the heat that's in the air
People watchin' everywhere

Rush hour slow it down
Stop and listen to the summer sound
Playing in the park and street talkin'
London Town is walkin', walkin'

London Town is walkin'
I said it's really talkin' yeah
Steppin' in the walk of life
I said makin' out the walk of life
London Town I'm stalkin'
I said I'm really walkin' yeah

The sun goes down, and the lights come up
So we move on to a club
Surround yourself with the feel-good groove
People dancin' everywhere

Make your move go turn it up
Rockin' rhythm at the rasta club
Swingin' in the dark and heart thumpin'
London Town is thumpin'
I said it was jumpin'

London town is walkin'
I said it's really talkin' yeah
Steppin' in the walk of life
I said makin' out the walk of life
London Town I'm stalkin'
I said I'm really walkin' yeah

Zing zinga zinga zinga zinga zinga
Zing zinga zinga zinga zinga zinga
Zinga zah
Zing zinga zinga zinga zah
Zing zah ha ah

The sun is risin', but we haven't slept
I'm not ready to rest my head yet
Huddle close 'til you get no air
See the crew down Leicester Square

Pup-crawlers morning dew
People watchin' is it you
Jump the bus and fell hoppin'
London Town is still buzzin'
Oh it's really buzzin' yeah

London Town is walkin'
I said it's really talkin' yeah
Steppin' in the walk of life
I said makin' out the walk of life
London Town I'm stalkin'
I said I'm really walkin' yeah

London Town is walkin'
I said it's really talkin' yeah
Steppin' in the walk of life
I said makin' out the walk of life
London Town I'm stalkin'
I said I'm really walkin' yeah

London Town is walkin'
I said it's really talkin' yeah
Steppin' in the walk of life
I said makin' out the walk of life
London Town I'm stalkin'
I said I'm really walkin' yeah

London Town is walkin'
I said it's really talkin' yeah
Steppin' in the walk of life

3:24 ¿Es mi idea o Emma Bunton se equivoca en la letra de la canción? se oye que en esa parte alguien de ellas dice "I said, I, I, I, I..."

Victoria Singing High?! I LOVE IT

    Jhaz Miranda

  24. FRANCESCO FISSORE

Thanx so much for uploading these Spice Girls' masterpieces... and you too, do masterpieces with your videos.
This song especially, somehow 'strange' for a SP track in my opinion... great pictures as well, fantastic Emma in particular.
The photoshoot has been taken not before very late January 1998 (pretty sure Victoria got her new hairstyle on January 26th if I'm not wrong, I've traced down some clues basing on dated photos) but, timeframe can be further narrowed judging from Halliwell's honey-blonde hair - according to many a photos from that period she started showing her new style around the first week of April.
Thus much likely one of their last photoshoots as a fivesome, considering she left on May 27th.

Thanx again, and greetings from Italy - Franco.

  25. Ganluca Russo

    💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚

  26. Toast

Change the Mel B lyric ‘people dancing everywhere’ because it just doesn’t go and is weak and change the ‘zinga zaa’ to something with a bit of thought behind it and that has number 1 single written all over it

  27. SHE RuHN

Why is this the first time im hearing this???!!!

  28. maggie griffiths

I come from London and it is wicked song ...... well done girls

  29. CARLO BOCCUZZI

The Geri's low part in chorus is so overwhelming...the same is Victoria's verse.

    andrew turvill

geris love parts do it for me everytime...

  30. Renardy Julyan

Poor Geri only got that short part

    Z Kafree

@Carlos Fuentes geri ruined the song

    Renardy Julyan

Carlos Fuentes well all of them sangs the same chorus too 😂

    Jose Sepulveda

Geri's voice is not cool ,is a vibe, no more

  31. Renardy Julyan

I usually recognize victoria's part because of her low notes but i am totally unrecognize her voice here because of that high notes.

    belen cozzarelli

it happened to me too just now. I actually thought her part was sung by either Mel C or Emma.

  32. Brenda Kesling

I LOOOOOVVVEEE THE SPICE GIRLS SOOOOOOO MUCHH

  33. Insanity On A Bun

    I dig the reggae

  34. Dale Gilbert Galindez

People say that Victoria singing in a higher tone made it a bit awful. To be honest, I was amazed that they let her sing above her usual range. If this was released as a track in the album, I think others would be amazed of Victoria's range too.

  35. PencilMaxStar

    baby is hot!

    Don Scott

    They all are gorgeous

  36. jr w

good for you, free! no more German flags insulting everybody again

  37. Brenda C

I love the song so much! It's a shame that Vic is such an awful singer in this one :/

    Timothiee Lee Budlong Jr

    Just this one?

    JustKinga

She has got amazing deep voice!!!!!
But singing in a high voice was unnecesary in this song...

  38. Android18uk

Wow, this is a really good song. I was a huge fan in 1996 but only heard this song today!

    Fulliem Quach

It was ONLY on the Sabrina, The Teenage Witch soundtrack. I love the song and am a huge fan too.

    Miguel Rangel

I am a big fan too, since 1996, I had already heard this song...but there is one i Hadnt heard, called "a day in your life"

    Toast

Fulliem Quach was a b side in the uk

  39. I Love Mel B

    I love your videos

  40. My Precious

They had some stellar B Sides that could have been hit singles.

  41. xxxTIN0xxx

Spice Girls is a pop band but they actually sang several music genres, another reason why they're the best girl band of all times. This song should have been included in one of their albums.

    xxxTIN0xxx

    @*****
This song visibly contains elements of Reggea for example. Mel C did rock, eurodance, musical theatre, trip-hop.. Emma did Bossanova.
The Spice Girls definitely faced several music genres.

    xxxTIN0xxx

    @*****
They're all different genres. Dance isn't related to musical theater. Bossanova isn't related to R&B and so on.  They sang different music genres, end of the story.

    Jeremy Asuncion

Geri did Jazz in her first album Schizophonic (1999) and 3rd album Passion (2005). She also did standard Pop Rock in her 2nd album Scream If You Wanna Go Faster (2001). Spice Girls are diverse. Geri writes the best songs and her solo albums are the best. Emma is the second best next to Geri.

    Paula FLOR VLASICH

+Jeremy Asuncion no, man the best with a solo career is MelanieC, she's doing music all the time, even classic music and djing. if you're geri supporter is ok, but the rolling Stone magazine said the truth: sporty spice is the most musical spice! and that's a fact, MelanieC has living of the music in a world who loves despacito! if you listen "version of me" you can discover real music, quality music and a real singer.

    SkaMasta097

The thing about pop music, is that it is versatile. It can draw from and adapt to virtually any musical style.

Even in the Spice Girls albums, they did all sorts of styles, R&B, hip-hop, Rock, funk, disco, jazz, swing, Motown, doo wop, salsa, even punk (their version of “Me and My Gang” in the Spice World movie). They do pretty good reggae on this song, too.

  42. Elenice Fabricio

    I love spice girls!!
    I want spice again!!

  43. highnote32

    Spice Girls doing reggae!!!!!!!

  44. ReptarOnIce
