really love this band but they have kind of gone down hill since major arcana. i miss that heavy kind of punky desperate for the 90s sound they had. they need to get Matt back for the guitar parts. Bring Matt back!!!

I couldn't get as into Foil Deer, but this track is pretty good even without the noisy guitars that I also love.

The more synthy direction is really different, but it sounds great and it helps to get rid of the "speedy Ortiz is just grunge throwback" thing. Can't say it's immediately falling in love for me but it'll grow on me like most of their songs anyway.

I dunno, I still like this although the grungish sound was good. Kinda wish they changed it up more.

I really don't like this anywhere near as much as their older, grungier stuff but I'd be willing to bet that a lot of people will like this sound better. It reminds me a little of chvrches and obviously sad13 and there is plenty of the old speedy underneath. I didn't like puffer the first time I heard it either but it grew on me.
