Curieusement, j'ai presque eu autant de chagrin pour Mark, que je ne connaissais qu'a travers sa musique.
C'est étrange les sentiments des fois.

I read how Mark felt he was a conduit for the music he made....the music came from some supernatural place. I believe the Sunshine track captures his best studio efforts to aurally translate how the music flows through him like a conduit.
Beneath the instrumental track, you'll hear sublime sonic hisses, buzzes and astral sounds and transmissions as if was some satellite transmission from outer space.
Mark was a modern version of John Lennon....totally original and a creative, artistic music surrealist.

Thank you Jolene. Mark's music meant everything to me. I was a fan for almost a year and then I found out he died in fucking 2010. Devestated is the only I can decribe the moment I realized this. I am severely mentally, violently I'll with Borderline personality disorder. I never has bipolar disorder, I was miss diagnosed with that shit. Funny how all the pills my psychiatrist give me never worked. BPD therapy doe NOT use psych meds! Everytime I hear Mark's music I feel a since of urgency to live. It take me out of the moment and I feel that death will come soon enough, I don't need to hurry it along and be pissed off at the world. I'm 40 years old and I look forward to dying an old bitter man in my bed, alone. For Sparklehorse.

I have the feeling someone can see though his lyrics how clearly sucidal thoughts were so present in his mind. I find it awesome how he refers to death in such a beautiful way.

I was fortunate enough to discover Sparklehorse last year when a friend played some songs from Dark Night of The Soul. I havent found a band that has made me discover even more great songs like this since Bright Eyes.  Great song!

Mark Linkous is my hero. So talented. It's so unfortunate that his depression got the best of him, but luckily his music still lives on. I hope he knew how many lives he had changed.
