Soundgarden - Nothing To Say Lyrics

Nothing, nothing, nothing but the one thing

Someone said my words are out of balance
Nothing to say, you've got nothing to say
Dying words I bury everyday
Nothing to say, I've got nothing to say
Nothing but the one thing

You've got nothing, nothing to say
Nothing but the one thing

Big bad word spell it with four letters
Nothing to say, you've got nothing to say
Oh my God, your words are out of balance
Nothing to say, you've got nothing to say
Nothing but the one thing
Nothing, nothing

You've got nothing, nothing to say
Nothing but the one thing

Nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing

This song really showed his vocal range. I have this album and still listen to it. Sadly, we lost this great singer and all the songs he wrote were testimonies of his inner pain. But damn, he was awesome.

    Yeah, me neither fucker.

  23. christco120

I was working at a record store in 1994, and a guy came in and asked me for "the Soundgarden album." I said, okay, which one do you mean? And he said, "their album!" I said, "well, they just released their fifth record, is that the one you mean?" He said, "are you serious? I thought this was their first." I said, "oh, no, my friend, far from it. Check this out," and played him this song. He was amazed, said, "is this really the same band?" I said "yep," and he bought Screaming Life/Fopp instead of Superunknown. I was so happy, lol. One of my favorite record store moments ever.

  24. CriticalSurvival

  33. Shane Ruddock - Pedalling the Globe

I remember in 1999 discovering soundgarden in the strangest of ways. I was 8 and i was hooked instantly. I found them by chance on encarta 95 Computer CD Rom. Just a small clip of the song. They changed my life and opinion on music. Along with creedence clearwater, little richard. Heard it all off here! Who else is here because of encarta 95?

  46. awill891

A-Sides was the only cd I'd listen to in my car everyday in high school. I would say this was my favorite song but damn it was full of perfect songs! Graduated 10 years ago but never stopped listening to Chris Cornell. Sure I'd take a break from Soundgarden but that was when I was in an Audioslave mood and when I was done with them I'd go to Temple. So much great music, thanks for everything Chris! Rest easy brother.

  47. imunchienandalusia

Shane Ruddock - Pedalling the Globe

@BubbaZen10 but it's not funny. I have a family member also who committed suicide. Cornell was a blessing. Respect him especially if you like the music

    That menacing opaque feeling...yep

  83. Wickedvoid96

My favorite SG song definetly know they had a heavy sabbath influence in the begining

    Wickedvoid96

    Yes sir

    M.L. Crow

Yeah, early Soundgarden was like the perfect combination between Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin.

    Bradley Miller

M.L. Crow Right on! Cornell's was definitly the best vocalist in the grunge scene. And the music-Sabbath meets Zeppelin meets metal and punk. Amazing.

    Jefferson Andres Araujo Mendoza

Don't forget the Beatles influences... I agree, by far he's the best of Grunge. I love the style and of Cobain and his colour of voice, and I really apreciatte the performance and attitude of Laney Staley... But man, got such a nice voice with technique will make the difference...
    For me, Chris Cornell:
    Musical sense: 9
    Technique: 10

    JEREMY. JF.

And Beyond the wheel, I awake.. Is sludge metal
