Soul Coughing - Circles Lyrics
When you were languishing in rooms I built to file you in
And when the wind set down in funnel form and pulled you in
I don't need to walk around in circles, walk around in circles
Walk around in circles, walk around in
Walk around in circles, walk around in
And when the ghostly dust of violence traces everything
And when the gas runs out, just wreck it, you insured the thing
I don't need to walk around in circles, walk around in circles
Walk around in circles, walk around in
I don't need to walk around in circles, walk around in circles
Walk around in circles, walk around in
It has gone and gone to dogs, lay down on the floor
For the right price I can get everything
Slip into the car, go driving to the farthest star
I don't need to walk around in circles, walk around in circles
Walk around in circles, walk around in
I don't need to walk around in circles, walk around in circles
Walk around in circles, walk around in

Debuted in my weekly personal chart on January 31, 1999 edition :)
You can really hear how exhausted these guys were, and just how pushed they were by Warner Bros. Records and Slash Records. I can only imagine how many things Doughty tried to numb-off their noxious execs.
Dillon the hacker
This reminds me of cartoon network as a kid bro I miss those days take me back
Vanilla ice and cream be like
This song walks Around in circles in my head😁😀✌️😎🎶
One of those songs that's stuck with me for most of my life after watching the music video on CN way back in the day. Some days at school it would just randomly play in my head for no reason at all. Most likely an earworm for me that'll never die.

It’s not often you’re watching a Dwayne Johnson movie and hear Soul Coughing. Walking Tall is a great film.
99%: Edd gould
1%: Different comment
Seriously. This is a guy who could write beautiful music but his bandmates drove him crazy.
for the right price I can get everything uhhhhhh
This song is old enough to drink!
This song more than any other Soul Coughing tune I think hinted at the sound Mike Doughty would explore in his solo career. It's the "hookiest" of all SC songs. They had other catchy songs such as Sugar Free Jazz but they weren't catchy because of melodic hooks, they were catchy because of their sonic dynamic, Circles meanwhile explored Melody...which BTW I don't think was the bands strong suit. They were a band for sound exploration.
This song sounds just like aisle 10
It’s funny people commenting about Cartoon Network or whatever. I remember when this song was popular on the RADIO.
I was 18 years old, had just graduated
high school the previous summer.
My parents said " Get a job",
So, I got myself hired at a
movie theater, $10.00/hr.
which was pretty sweet back then.
Once a month I was allowed two free admissions on my days off so I got to take my girlfriend to the movies a lot.
I did that for 2 years and then went to trade school and became an electrician. This song would play
over the speakers in between
screenings while we cleaned
the aisles before the next group
of customers came in.
I HATED this song back then and l don't particularly like it now,
BUT it sure does bring back a lot of great memories of being young and free in 1990s Southern California.
Too bad they're turning CA into a shithole.
@AWH NJ how so?
@El Cid San Francisco and LA. The homeless are literally shitting and pissing in the streets, not to mention littering their hypodermic needles.

Boomerang forever!!!
I just love this CD!!
When you were languishing in rooms I built to fowl you in is still the best fucking opening line to a song I've ever heard
elliott smith died twice and mike doughty killed him the second time the truck came back empty and he was like the definition
I got high and now I walk around in circles.
Sweet nostalgia. The way time passes is almost mind boggling.
Pure 90s gold
I remember walking in circles to this
I was born just in time to experience groovies before they went rip
Some songs just stay with you forever and this song is one of them! The Old Cartoon Network rocked!! :D
this was in a CNGroovie!
man i listen to some good ass music
I'm probably the only one who was brought here by SGB. But I would love to be proven wrong.
Someone should do a loop of Walk around in circles
If I knew how to make an AMV, I would totally make one based on Seven Little Monsters using only the clips when the monsters walk around in a circle together XD
It’s crazy people are making me realize that I was 3 years old when I first heard this.
Twentysomething, carefree late-90s
The jukebox from the bowling alley I hung out at in high school brought me here.
I met the keyboardist at SXSW a few years ago. We were drinking at this fun bar with couches. He mentioned Soul Coughing and it didn't ring a bell at first but later we were talking about other stuff and then it came to me so I started singing the chorus of this song and he playfully pushed me over on the couch and whenever I would sit back up for the next 20 seconds he would push me over again. I was laughing so hard! He's cool. The couches were comfy so I didn't mind :D
ah, 1998, a good year for cartoons
My cat Ninny, that likes to walk around in circles allll frigin night, brought me here
I really fucking miss the 90's.. :'(
Holy crap, I’m back in high school!!!
Think happy thoughts, happy thoughts....pptthhh right....
doo daa doo daa doo daa doo daa doo daa doo daa
Over 13 years ago, I fruitlessly spent an afternoon looking for this song.
So now I found it. Huh.
*plays on your way to work*
Nostalgia trigger.
I think I’ll see what Fred is doing.
"Ha! Take that you hockey mask wearing freak!"
I have always loved this album. My dad heard this song on Cartoon Network while I was watching and decided to pick it up at the record store. It became one of the first albums I ever really got into in fifth grade or so.
Supremely underrated.
I heard this for the first time on the radio yesterday and thought to myself, "Wow what a cool song. I can't believe this is new. It sounds like something from the 90s." Then I looked it up and had to laugh. Of course it isn't new..
New music sucks..... Lol
Walking Tall 2004 The Rock & Johnny Knoxville
I’m seeing a lot of late 90s kids. Eh. I saw this on Boomerang back in 08’. I’m a late 2000s 2010s kid...
First time I heard this song it was off the movie Walking Tall back when Dwayne Johnson was still establishing himself a movie star...good days good movie
...That you, Rorona Zoro?

Dillon The Hacker. Edit: R.i.p.
Yet again the only reason anyone knows the song is because of a t.v show or a movie.....fml
I want Dillon the Hacker to come back. ;-;
youtube isn't the same without the guy
Exactly.
this comment really hurts given the fact that he died recently.
@yobelkcip Oh wow, you came back to this video as well. I only just found out today. I'm really torn up about it, he was so great. RIP.

This song can fuck off.
derper derp right back at you
Someone needs to make a 10 hour loop of the main chorus "Walk around in circles, walk around in circles, walk around in circles"
Tribe twelve reversed anyone?
I wasn't alive in the 90s. The car radio brought me here.
I feel so alone.
I haven't heard this song since i was kid!!
Do da do da do da
This song is just too good. -Pierce
I might be a 2000’s kid but I still love this song
To be honest, i only remember this because of boomerang

... I dont need to walk around in circles dont need to walk around in circles walk around in cirles walk around in...
My mom used to sing this in the car wow
I heard this song on some weird AM radio station a few weeks ago.
For those of you curious of how weird the station was, it played modern songs like Somebody That I Used to Know, but then it played some weird 50s and 60s music, and then it played some late 70s rock music (Metallica to be exact) and then it played this and then back to the 50s music. Never heard a station like it.
"All these squares make a circle... All these squares make a circle... All these squares make a circle... All these squares make a circle..."
I used to listen to this on a Denver radio station called 93.3 ktcl The Adventure. It's now called channel 933
