@tommej I think that is from a casio keyboard. maybe a casio mt 550. I have got one long after hearing this song, and it instantly made me think of the cymbal sound in Toyko Eye.

My brother and I actually found a Fisher Price toy that belonged to my friend's daughter and made THE EXACT CYMBAL NOISE!!! We played Tokyo Eye on it the rest of the afternoon that day until the batteries wore out.

Hmm Great track! Does anyone know where I can find the Cymbal sound effect? I love it. I would like a ring tune.

Awesome, awesome song. I think this is the song that made me a Sonic Youth fan as a teenager. This is my favorite Sonic Youth album.
