Didn't even realise at the time how these idiots were actually the harbingers of modern far-left ideology lol, Thurston even went as far as send a letter to Jeremy Corbyn hailing that complete idiot as a "beacon of hope", morons, this is why you shouldn't take political lessons from musicians, actors and junkies. Back then rockstars were the counterculture, now they're the mainstream and many of us who used to love them back then find ourselves rebelling against them as they've become the bee gees of the modern world, funny how time works and how things change.

People don't realise how good they had it until the whole world changes on them and becomes something even nastier than anything you could've imagined in the 1980s... what i wouldn't give to go back to a time when views like Thurston's were fringe and society hadn't spiralled totally out of control. @Remedial Gash I see. Well, that is Kim Gordon. One of the founding members of Sonic Youth, bassist and also one of the singers. Was married to Thurston for decades before they broke up, which is why Sonic Youth split. She's a fucking badass and one of the coolest people ever.
