what is this song about? seems to me to be about suicide they had this song in the kurt cobain 27 club video at his vigil in seattle in 1994

it's about a friend of the band named joe cole who was murdered. 100% was also about him. you can see him dancing with kim in the my friend goo video.

this is very depressing and i like it they used it for the kurt cobain documentary "the 27 club" that's where i first heard it at first i thought it was bikini kill so i asked someone and they got back to me i really like this who is jc cole?

He was Henry Rollins's best friend, a roadie for Black Flag back in the day; Sonic Youth got to know him when they were signed to SST. He was shot and killed in the course of a robbery in Venice, California, in December 1991. Henry Rollins fled and survived.
