Sonic Youth - Dirty Boots Lyrics
[Thurston]
Here we go to another candle I know
All the girls there playin' on a jelly roll
Time to take a ride - time to take it in a midnite eye
Pinking out the day - dreaming out the crazy way
Finger on the love - it's all above
Everywhere it's six-sex-six by luck
A satellite wish will make it just enough
You'll be making out with a witch in a coffee truck
Time to rock the road - and tell the story of the jelly rollin'
Dirty boots are on - hi di ho
Pinking out the black - dreaming in a crack
I got some dirty boots - yeah dirty boots
I got some dirty boots - baby
Dirty boots
Hey!

Hey!
Sonic Youth left a mark on me in the 90s
Quem viveu, viveu. Quem não nasceu nesta época fica chupando o dedo!
Заебо'ок!Было время.. Да и сейчас вкатывает !!!
The girl in the white nirvana shirt is so pretty
Fuck yea miss these days
"Hey, what high school do you go to?"
"What are you talking about Butt Head I got to the same high school you do."
"I was talking to the chick, dumbass."
The kids in this video are about 40 now give or take a year or two.
Niiiiiiiiirvaaaaaaaaaaaaana
Satanic gender confusion before it was trendy...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0F-CZms-KY&t=153s
they tried to sound like early pink floyd and sonic youth>>>at their first show, their guitar player lost his front tooth>>>they couldn't find it to put it back in------stevie tone death
Why does this video have so many dislikes?!! Are you crazy, people?!!
only good song they ever did, except 100%
https://youtu.be/z-mxBDuRaZ8 hmm something seems the same...
90s baby
I wore this CD out when I was young 😺
This video passed the vibe check
Glad to had the similar memories like this vid in my younger days..
Really takes me back.
ok but like why does this video give me deja vu
So iconic and cringey at the same time
Ha! Yeah..I was looking in my year book from 94' ..I looked JUST LIKE that kid in the Nirvana shirt at the beginning of the video..lol
Nice view count
If they can't get into the rock and roll Hall of Fame then the place shouldn't exist. No eighties band influenced what followed it more than Sonic Youth. Well maybe Husker Du and they should be in the hall as well.
欧米人ばかりコメントwww
私も汚いブーツ持ってるよ
I miss seeing people wearing flannel, grunge band T-shirts, ripped jeans and not brushing their hair. 😢
I still do,but not by choice,really..lol! And I'm 40
SIIIIIII!!!
dirty gays
Acabo de estrenar unos audífonos y quería probarlos escuchando está canción, de repente, youtube pone uno de esos anuncios que no se pueden saltar de Vevo y suena no sé que puta mierda marica, gracias por joderme la experiencia.
2 dollars to see sonic youth. Cant even get a drink from sonic burger for that nowadays
Is that Stone Gossard i see on the guitar?
90s art rock kids, in retrospect, were just parodies of themselves. The alternative culture with their individuality addiction became what they tried so hard to avoid. They became a clique. The same unique teenage snowflakes of 2019 are feigning interest in Hip Hop and turning NASA into a fashion statement.
Jackie Tristan theme song
Great band, great song
Wow, only 2 bucks to see Sonic Youth....
The memories... 90s such a beautiful to live your teen years. Playing in small gigs, going out with friends in "pothead philosophers" endless nights...no social media bs, no narcisism, just being your self and embrace our true selfs. at that time all was new and natural, we didnt realize that was so unique and special, just lived it. now as a 38y old i look back and... honestly? I miss it so much I can cry just typing this and remembering.
Hey, that girl wore that t shirt that that band stole the name from 😉
Гранж !!
Why do these guys remind me of the Jefferson Airplane
They all look far cleaner than I imagine a real Sonic Youth audience would have been back then.
"Oh Please, Fair Thief"
In highly contrived
and
impractical times
like these,
people seldom bring lemons
or
muddle tea,
or reach around
the shelves,
or look under mats
for keys.
Enough with your demons
and riddles,
I think.
Point guards
of the highly
contrived
are simple.
Take a step back,
and swing high
their left pimples.
The prose
is like a nose,
a hook,
line,
and sinker,
and
it strings you along
or sits
like
a thinker...

Beavis and Butt-head Brought me here.
I first saw this video years and years ago on 120 Minutes, and I wasn't even old enough to go to a Bar yet.
smells like teen spirit???
muchad gracias !¡!
Cheese. Thought the lad would of stage dived and chinned the girl with his dirty boots. Far more entertaining
Butt-head: Tell the story of the Chode. 1:55
Beavis: This is the story of a lonely little chode. Hehe...he never scored. Hehehe..And that's the end.
Butthead: I think that's like..eehh..your story Beavis.
Beavis: Your story too..butthole.
I'm glad I.was around in the 1991 era of music.
God I miss those days. Middle (?) age sucks lol. At least I got to experience the magic of the late 80s/early 90s alternative scene and got to see all those great bands live.
7th and Alameda, Skating alone @ midnight...
Pulenta aka 5 de febrero del 90 Chile jk!!! Orden sin patrón!!!
Remember when Beavis and Butthead watched this video.
"Tell the story of the chode?"
"This is the story of a lonely little chode. He never scored. The end."
Romantic Years.....Love Everything About Those Years

ah the softcore mosh pit, never prepared me for punk rock/hardcore gigs
Whenever I listen to grunge or shoegaze, I shake and roll my head like the front row blonde with dreads.
This moshing is hilarious
I've never seen so much plaid clothing before...
This video is so garbage, good song tho
100% skater band!
Привет
Looks too much like my ex
Cuando escuche esta rola ya era un poco mayor en edad, pero no importa mucho. talvez 10 años después pero tiene la energía necesaria para mi ser.
My difficult teen years in one video. Do I miss the 90s?
Yup...
Mi favorite song ever
sonic youth made good videos
Awesome
90's, I miss you so much .....
Alguém em 1999
Cheesy video but great song
The whole fucking album are nothing but music videos
The band of my life.
Wow admisssion only 2 dollars!
Now we're enslaved. People who grew up with this stuff in their teens and 20s are charged $100 to see the same bands perform. So much for rock 'n roll being for the people.
everytime I watch this music video, I can't help but tell myself "this is the best mv I've ever seen" . Not a lot of budget, of technics, so simple yet so damn moving.
Then you realize that the chick is just another has-been big fat cow of a white American.
goose bumps everytime i listen to this.
I remember watching this on a Beavis and Butthead special when I was 13! and since I had recorded it on VHS, I was able to replay and replay because that love scenario was how I wanted to meet someone.
someone teleport me into this music video as soon as possible please.
So where's sonic in the band?
COOL died a few years later! RIP COOL! We Still Love You!
the video vibe is amazing but jesus these basic songs sucked
It was early 90s though, wonderful years to be honest, my memories are of great music back then.
Is that a civil war muff I hear??
Signal in the sky lets go
I'm not some cool oldhead thats been listening to Sonic Youth since the 90s. They're a band that I got into when I was in high school and followed me into college. They really helped me through some strange, wonderous, and shitty times. It's strange how listening to them now gives me a nostalgic feeling. Thanks for everything, Sonic Youth.
you fools, you absolute idiots — the boy and the girl are one in the same and the video represents the need to find ones self amongst a myriad of sexual innuendos, similar haircuts, textured guitars and bodily fluids in a live musical setting. When the boy and the girl embrace and then dive (in me/each other. A hidden song about nirvana... think about it) off the stage, they are giving in to their primal knowledge of natural connection, which is to say this is not merely infatuation. then Steve Shelley throws the drum stick at them only to realize that now, as one, they are no longer physical beings of this particular $2.00 love show. the uncomfortable smirk he provides at the end of the video proves this.
Can't wait for San Junipero to be on the 90's on a Sonic Youth concert
Bleedin tears
as good as it gets
