Soilwork - Forever Lost In Vain Lyrics
Like a flash from a distance I learned to prevail
Over all those dark moments, I set the sails
I learned to believe it, I learned to deny
Which was nothing but running away from the tide
This life has made up with its soul
Next time I will deal with the storm that gathered
All the thoughts that came up on their own
Can someone give me an answer
About the choices I've made?
Cause I can't think anymore
These thoughts are buried forever
Deep down in emotional graves
Forever lost in vain
Turning points are glowing with their absence since there's
No hope of finding my way
What may lurk in the shadows while I'm in here waiting?
Something better than I've already seen?
Can someone give me an answer
About the choices I've made?
Cause I can't think anymore
These thoughts are buried forever
Deep down in emotional graves
Forever lost in vain
So do I truly deserve something better?
(Way better than this)
This weight on my shoulders still matters
(Matters to me)
After all these years through the never
I can feel how it all comes together
[Solo: Andersson]
Can someone give me an answer
About the choices I've made?
Cause I can't think anymore
These thoughts are buried forever
Deep down in emotional graves
Forever lost in vain

I'm pretty sure it will be available on spotify. Since it is an actual global release
GLOBAL ELITE
It's a crime that this EP never saw a proper release. Some of the best material Soilwork has EVER written.
This EP has technically been properly released. The entirety of this EP is on the Death Resonance compilation album.
How can someone not like this song!? Who cannot like Soilwork!? WHO CANNOT LIKE METAL!?

Is there anyway you can email me this track? I cannot download it on itunes. It's not available.
This is the Best song off the EP! The lyrics have such a strong meaning to me. It often feel likes our thoughts are forever lost in vain because so much of what we are taught to care about it simply not important. And it feels like we cant think anymore when other people and corporations are trying to do all the thinking for us. This song helps me to find myself and unplug from the illusions of this crazy world.
swiftyrocks08 Truer words were never spoken this song helps me find myself
Listened to this alone now probably as much as everything from The Living Infinite together...
@Primeumaton0 I agree; Living Infinite was only about one third awesome, and just good for the rest of it.
@Preston Roberts Only one third awesome? Are you insane, man!?
I just think it felt rushed. The new stuff is better, IMO.
Soilwork Forever
hypnotic.......keep up.......
i love the chorus...it's so catchy
Soilwork releases a double album and still has leftover songs... holy dumb fuck Soilwork never ceases to amaze me. Soilworker for life!!
Yes I agree. Di you know that In Flames and Soilwork help each other write songs? If you are not aware, they both came from the same small town in Sweden, and all used to be in a band together. Then one day, they decided to form 2 bands. Soilwork got signed first, but they said they would only sign if In Flames was signed as well. The label had never heard In Flames before, and upon hearing a demo, instantly, and happily signed In Flames as well. I think they were signed to different sub-labels but both owned by the same label. So then it began... Swedish Melodic Death Metal, which set the stage for the entire Melodic Death Metal genre, which is, in my opinion, the best genre of music on the planet, ever. Soilwork is part of the reason we have all this amazing melodic metal now to listen to. They overcame ridicule when people said their style of metal would never work, and compared the vocals to "opera mixed with screaming" that would never gain a lot of followers...but they did gain followers.. A LOT of them. Some of the best fans in the world are Soilwork and In Flames fans. They both still collaborate with each other, and remained friends over the years, and write music together. In fact, they even trade songs with each other. Like Rejection Role was written by In Flames. Trigger was written by Soilwork. This is the apex of music. Doing it for the love of music rather than for the love of money. I have been listening to soilwork regularly for 15+ years now. Always have been one of my top 3 favorite bands since the first time I heard their first song! \m/
Derek Charette that's profound
+Derek Charette This... this is a joke, right? In Flames was in the Gothenburg metal scene... along with At the Gates and Dark Tranquility. Those were the bands responsible for establishing melodeath. Soilwork was not a part of that scene. Soilwork is not even from Gothenburg. And Soilwork wasn't even a band when In Flames released their first album, much less signed to a label.
OH.....MY....GOD. SOOOOOOO AWESOME!!!! The tempo change near the three minute mark, then breakdown, is some of the most slammin shit SOILWORK has ever written. One of the best bands in the world!!!
Where's the tempo change? I can't hear any
@marneuscalgar2126
2 min 30sec,around about
@Daniel Mehlhopt I don't think you know what a tempo change is, there is no tempo change in the entire song
