Soilwork - Chainheart Machine Lyrics
I am the sledgehammer messiah, waiting for sins to be born
And if you stop for a moment you can hear the machines are playing your song
There's nowhere to run and nowhere to speak
I'm gaining you're falling into me
Tell me you piece of shit, how does it feel
Living, living, dreaming dreaming
Drowning!
Chainheart Machine
By cosmic retribution I've been sent
Cause I'll rise, You'll fall
Roll the dice!
My call
Tick tock, time to die
Self absorbed egotistical...fuck!
I'm reigning your life!
Chainheart Machine
By cosmic retribution I've been sent
Cause I'll rise, You'll fall
Roll the dice!
My call
Preaching for the Sun
They say there is a sun
So I'm preaching for the sun
They say there...is a sun
My body is chained to the ground where I walk
They stalk they hunt my every thought with
Execution, Evolution, Disillusion Pre-conclusion
Why is it me?
Chainheart Machine
Your suffering will be legendary, even in hell!
Cause I'll rise, you'll fall
Roll the dice!
My call! [2x]

Soilwork Chainheart Machine Comments
This album is a pure masterpiece!
Has it been 20 years already? Wow
Aggressive and thrashy album before they went to more accessible sounds. Nice work.
This is metalcore not Melodeth
I enjoy this band so much man!.
I love Soilwork, without too much melody and singing vocals.
Their harsher side is like At The Gates made more melodic and a bit modern, but pretty good stuff, with more classical solos.
You know right away from the Fred Flintstone spastic drums if you're into this or not. Saves a lot of time.
This album pounds you in the ass relentlessly with metal badassedness.
I like how the album starts exactly as it ends
Still kicks so much ass....and I have the discography. Thanks for the upload, jleehify.
Henry Ranta was the best of the Soilwork drummers. Dirk Verbeuren used too much complexity in his beats and tried to sound like Tomas Haake a bit too much. Bastian Thusgaard just goes at it full strength without trying to use dynamics to make more interesting patterns, while at the same time trying to be a clone of Dirk. But Henry found that perfect mix of speed, complexity, and simplicity. He is to Soilwork what Dave Abbruzzese is to Pearl Jam.
I can agree with this, Henry Ranta is an incredible and creative drummer. One of my favorite metal drummers for sure.
When clean vocals were totally nonexistent on Soilwork albums!!!!
Thank you, Soilwork, for filling my life with metallic fantasticness!
A masterpiece of the melodic Death metal genre. Peter Wichers and Björn strid the brains of the band created this, as I say a masterpiece.
今の若い子にこそソイルのセカンドを薦めたい!
All the songs are good till the end of the albume when bands where not even writing this music so much. Soilwork rules
I remember when this came put and I was so excited, on fire to listen to this, scary shit soilwork rules 96’ 98’ I forget, great epic life, in the ass to all of them! Bye idiot diees
One of the best albums
DEMOLEDORRRRRR!!!! MUCHAS GRACIAS POR COMPARTIRLO jleehfy!!!
Peter Wichers is a goddamn genius
This piece and Gardenians Two feet stand are two best Gotenborg events.
the anthem of melodeath. period.
The most amazing soilwork album- I can't get into ANY of the newer stuff- this and a predators portrait just destroy.
Chainheart Machine kicks so much ass! My favourite in this one
im going to go against the grain, while the earlier albums do kick ass, panic broadcast, living infinite and ride majestic/death resonance are a lot more masterful.each t their own.
Todd Livingston Jesus christ you are retarded
Strid signed my cd back in Aug 2001 at Milwaukee Metalfest. They played for about a 1/2 hour. I was ok with listening to them till Natural Born Chaos 2003~04...then "Ahh" *Shrug shoulder*...not my cup of tea anymore, lacking that raw sound of the first two albums....and...
I have a recommendation for some fresh good Melodic death from Japan
Thousand Eyes - Bloody Empire and
Thousand Leaves - Black Cloak Skeleton
...very refreshing melodic metal that brings back slight indications of influence from Late 90's ~ early 2000's "Gothenburger" sound done as flashy guitarwork that Japanese metal bands can do - Laden with Guitar solos - which so much metal is lacking these days. The lead singer owns both bands.
see ya at waken 2017 oh so long to wait :)
34:20 <3
aka 34:27
This is an awesome album.
Fuck yeah it is.
It really also sucks That Dirk has left for Megadeth basically stole him if you ask me. The Megadeth classics are great but I dont feel that albums of the last 20 yrs are on the level of what Soilwork has been doing for 20 years now. They will have a major challenge ahead replacing Dirk but Soilwork have been great at adapting to the many changes and obstacles that they have been faced with.
I think he will get bored and come back.
Dirk isn't even on this album. It's Henry Ranta.
this album doesn't have Dirk anyway lol. this is Henry Ranta.
The evolution of Soilwork has been very impressive!!! Aa good and awesome as the old albums are So are the newer ones. His vocals have become more melodic yes but i dont feel thats a bad thing. The guitar duo of Peter Wichers and Lord Frenning was amazing any band that can overcome that them parting ways eventually and find 2 other great guitarists and revitalize their sound has my highest respect and Ola Flink has left as well. Bjorn strid and Sven Karlsson are their only original members. They are 1 of my favorite bands if not my Favorite band today. The ride Majestic is Awesome and so is The Living Infinite. This band has never done a bad album far from it!!!
Their first four album's are legendary. Killer playing and aggressive attitude. I miss those good old days of Soilwork. Respect!!
new albums was bad ass tho
hell yeah and peter witchers was unique man
Steelbath Suicide needs some improvements tho
They were so bloody young at this point as well.
I’d agree to you to some extent like I love they’re old stuff but I listen to their new stuff and still am impressed like Verkligheten, figure number five and chainheart machine are prolly my top 3 albums
16 years ago
17 now)
The last great album of Soilwork!
Could be one of the most unrecognised albums in the genre
This for sure. Everyone talks shit about Soilwork nowadays, but they've released some very, very special albums. This one in particular. The Living Infinite and The Ride Majestic are fcking masterpieces as well!
This like a different genre of music :)
The Chainheart Machine is melodic DEATH METAL
Others are MELODIC death metal ;)
Łukasz B True the early albums like chainheart machine and steelbath suicide are very hard, but I also like the clear vocals in figure no 5 and stabbing the drama. Their new stuff is a middle thing imo, almost as hard as the early stuff, but influenced by the albums that came after it, if you know what I mean
Those fucking drums. <3
such a good band first 4 albums masterpieces..
+Brunetto46 What as wrong with Figure Number Five?
+Tommy Imburgia this is the beginning of the end that album too melodic too simple too mainstream too american you know the first 4 in my opinion is the real scandinavian soilwork with no label issues
my favorite is the Ride Majestic so everything is a question of taste :/
the best gothenburg album ever. respect.
Gothenburg? I thought they´re from Helsingborg?
+Sandemose but they have this typical Gothenburg extreme metal sound
It's weird cause In flames made death metal accessible and today a lot of people that were listening to In flames cause the vocals were not that shocking are now listening to good death XD so in a way some people can thank them
Easily their best album.
+nuage noir I personally find a lot of their new stuff to be incredibly good. It's definitely not what this was, but I appreciate that too. I wouldn't want any musician to stagnate with the same sound throughout their time.
@Nevecus That's a broad stereotype to make. Not all bands stagnate over time using their same sound. Amon Amarth for example or even Arch Enemy, Angela era.
yep. I personally dont really like Arch Enemy or Amon Amarth, and I think agressivity and this particular intense energy was among the best Soilwork elements, and it disappeared (in my opinion) after the 3rd full length. Also, I see a strong evolution between first and second album, so I dont think it's about stagnate or not, to me it's all about loose all that was cool for me, but it's very subjective !
+0ktober I feel the newer albums are good. But this is a more raw sound. His vocals improves a lot.
Highly debatable... There is no best album for Soilwork.
love it at metal club \,,/:-)
I did see Soilwork live here in my town once, but they playing more newer stuff.
...masterpiece, it´s so long ago i listened to it...didn´t remember it was sooo goooood!
Yeah, right! exactly what I told myself today X). It's too bad cause soilwork is not a bad group nowadays but back then it was so much better...
Its good to be back on this album 10 years later :) It reminds me of metal in me :)
+Nikola Ananiev Same here, I spent a lot of hours as a teenager learning this on my drums \m/ Good times!
やっぱ初期のソイルはええなぁ❗
I just wanted to test it but it went out of control \m/
Great music :)
Amazing album. Bulletbeast one of their best song ever, really great!
Awesome!!!
