@Dread Ox just saw them perform in Orlando, been a fan of SOiL since Scars and man this song got the crowd going, it's nice to see a band do a show for their fans, not their pockets.

@Prankadin Jenkins Yeah man, same here! Huge fan of theirs. They all nailed it but Ryan was just... so with it, if you know what I mean. His voice was awesome and his performance alone shone through all of the songs played. I'm so glad he rejoined SOiL and I cannot wait until they come back to the UK again. They receive great reception and support!! And yeah, you're right. They're wholly connected to us, the fans, and wouldn't just do it for one thing. They played Halo as their closing song, Ryan then suddenly appeared walking through our crowd!!

I like all versions..... but this is the most badass!!

i guess the main point is that black betty is pure awesomeness, no matter who plays the song :)

Ram Jam's version has the perfect tempo so you can understand the singer better, but Soil's version has THE BEST guitar and drum solos. The guitar work here runs circles around Ram Jam in my opinion. The only thing that could top this (and it's not easy to do) is if Van Halen covered this song.

Ram Jam didn't originally do the song; it was an old African-American work song. So it's not really a "Ram Jam" cover... it's a cover of a cover.
