I listened to this song with my friends all the time when we were young. Many times I dreamed of this awesome song, but I could not remember any words of this song...so hard to find it after all these years. But finally, German Radio Station brought me here.

When I saw Social Distortion live back in June 2013, lead singer Mike Ness said that the song is about racism in the south.

20 Years of listening to this song and it still has yet to be dethroned as my all time favorite, and Social D. isn't even my favorite band.
Sure there's better songs out there. There are some absolutely powerful, awe inspiring lyrics, guitar riffs, and musical progressions.
This song just speaks to me though. The older I get, the more I love it.
