Snow Patrol - A Dark Switch Lyrics

To me this video is about how he goes through these "light" and "dark" periods. The battle with depression. And what he learns to do is see the madness and joy and life inside him, to remember it. He knows its all there. And he just has to wait for the light to switch back on again to see it more clearly. But he learns to dance in the "dark". Which the female character does. You learn to dance in the "dark". To find that primal life force inside himself/herself, that we spend our lives suppressing. He has to free himself from the cage of his mind. This video feels like freedom IN the dark.

My favourite bit was his niece Honey doing that flip and looking at him as she passed him.

Infinite classic.

This album is just perfect. Every note, every lyric. The music is so rich, from guitar magic to percussion. Gary Lightbody's voice is beautiful. It connects with you like magnetic resonance coupling. I can't stop listening to it. Brilliant.

This song is probably my favorite on the whole album. The drum solo is amazing. Wish they would use more of that.. it's an honest, true song. I'm not sure if this is about addiction. They need to bring back MTV show about behind the music. This would be a good one with Snow Patrol.. a lot to talk about there.

A fantastic album all the tracks are masters well worth the wait.

Sometimes the bathroom is used as a place to get clean. But a lot of reflection can go on in a bathroom and sometimes, just sometimes, a dark switch gets flipped.

Fifa 19?

A lot of good songs on album but this is best and you may not like it on first listen but given time you will accept this is one of the best snow patrol songs they've ever done
