Smokey Robinson & The Miracles - Your Love Lyrics
Everybody tells me to find somebody who
They say that I'd be happier than just waiting here for you
Find someone new
And try belong
But I have to let them know
Even though it hurts me so
That I need your love
Only your love
I know that I have made mistakes now
But some time the mistake is just what it takes now
Oh well it opened up my eyes
And made me realize
That I need your love
Only your love
All of the [?] have been afloat
And no matter how big of a fool I may sound
Well when someone offers me
A love as true as love can be
I have to tell them [?]
Cause I, I can't pretend that I love another
And I would be happy with any other
Well things are gonna be bad
And my heart is gonna be sad
Till I get your love
Only your love
Come on and give me some love
All I want is some love
Come on and give me some love
Don't you know I need it right now
I'm gonna get it someway
I'm gonna get your love somehow
Come on baby give me some love

Smokey Robinson & The Miracles Your Love Comments
you must take a listen to the Miracles version of the theme from "love Story"....Smokey does a great job on that one. It's a hard arrangment, but Smokey does it perfectly.
I've heard many versions of this Beatles classic. Can't nobody Sang it like Smokey. OL.He takes into another world. Smokey Robinson is the crooner of romance. That voice says it all. My guy right here.❤❤❤❤🔥
Me n Felton
Over done! Beatles version is much better pure and simple. Black people Always have to sing like they're in fuckin church. Hate that shyt.
Smooth and silky is the soul of Smokey!!!
This and What Love Has Joined Together make the whole album worth having if you don't!! KUDOS!!
imo that was their best albums
SUPREME! <3
Smokey amazes me the control he had over his voice singing in this range...working it...lovely
Sample de Fritylips de Cevlade
One of the best Beatles covers of all times.
Mark Henry sampled this beautifully for Fat Joe.
One of thee coldest songs in history!!!
holllyyyy toleeeeddooo
holllyyyy toleeeeddooo
This WHOLE ALBUM is baddddddddd. Enough said.
This is the very best version of this song! Smokey just got it right that`s all !!!
This song has been in my head an heart every since I've heard it it's a love song thats unforgettable. Smokey an the miracles was a great team an I love her so true for me.
I can't for get Claudette lovely voice gave punch to all the ones she was on
The strings compliment Smokey's beautiful voice beautifully! In my opinion.
Shiqrsh you say this version screams 70's, it also screams better than The Beatles version.
+Edward Gilbert i love the beatles version, but smokey did ok job
@Edward Gilbert, just depends on what you like, Smokey brings more horns and brass, while the Beatles is more stripped down and acoustic! I like both.
Smokey & The Miracles did an outstanding job on this song . They out did The Beatles on this. Put Paul Ms Cartney's vocals against Smokey's vocals. No Contest, Smokey will sing him under the rug.....under the floor. Ad the Miracles sing rings around The Beatles. Don't get me wrong when I first heard the Beatles I liked it, thought I was a jam, then I heard this version and I never wanted to hear The Beatles version again.
That's 'Cause "Other Groups may be Cool....But THE MIRACLES RULE !!!"
Beatles were better song writers and were gifted singers and song writters and played there own instruments. Ohh yes and they wrote this song by the way!! Fuck out of here with all that black church singing bullshyt
Mais bonita na gostosa e aveludada voz do Smoken Robson!
does anyone know whwere i can what loved has joined together album on cd been looking for yr
I have heard both Mick Jagger and Paul McCartney say that they loved and copied American music and just played their version of our music back to us. So of course we love it. I also loved this version better than the original. This song and Yesterday are very clear and clean songs, leaving a lot of room for different voices and other musical instruments to be added to the blend. I think this album came out in the early 70's, 71, 72??? I think I was about 19 years old when my boyfriend bought the album for me. I just about wore this song out.
One of my favorite all-time albums!!!
First time I've heard this one, Smokey's singing is perfect as usual, however the large symphonic music kind of drowns him out. Would love to hear it with more smokey and softer music. If you would like to hear an amazingly beautiful rendition of" and I love him ", I suggest you listen to Esther Phillips version. It is also a timeless classic.
Sure the Beatles were pleased knowing that the Miracles and Somokey sang a song of theirs.... Pleased and proud! Great song...
This man, Wm Smokey Robinson, is such a consumate showman... I love his singing, the man can SANG.
The last album Smokey recorded with The Miracles was 1972's "Flying High Together".
Marv Tarplin was inducted with the rest of the original Miracles into the ROCK and ROLL HALL of FAME on April 14th, 2012.
Well said. And that doggone Marv Tarplin on guitar?! My goodness, what a blend that guy had with that patented Miracles sound.
Couldn't find this on Spotify but I knew YouTube would not let me down. Thank you so much for uploading this song....you rock!
I love this song so much, It hurts.
This is real music sing Smokey.
@formyearsonly Yes, they are. This is from a MIRACLES album...What Love Has....Joined Together (1970)
one of my favorites
@formyearsonly This song was originally recorded on the album , "What Love Has Joined Together" back in the 70's.......
Smokey stopped by Daryl Hall's house last year, chronicled on his website (LFDH.com) as Episode #22. Fantastic show with Smokey and the greatest in "blue-eyed soul, Daryl Hall. Hope you enjoy it! Some of Smokey's classics featured in Daryl's studio and priceless others.

@williamg2552 I stand corrected sir...
@formyearsonly This is from THE MIRACLES' 1970 album/ CD, "WHAT LOVE HAS JOINED TOGETHER. I know. I have it .
@andgar923 I know where you are coming from. For me, all this overproduction in this track sounds like record company's demands. Is good anyway, I mean....what could sound bad with this dude singing on?
this is a great cover, but I would've liked it more bare. Its too overproduced and it detracts away from the original's simplicity as well as Smokey's voice and soul. If it was just Smokey a guitar and his soul, lord!!!!
this is smokey on a solo album...the miracles were not on this track...
sighing
THIS IS SOOOOO LIQUID cool!!!
ALL of THE MIRACLES deserve credit ....not just Smokey . They are a magnificent group...one of the best there EVER WAS...or ever will be!!!
SMOKEY ROBINSON, CLAUDETTE ROBINSON, BOBBY ROGERS, PETE MOORE, RONNIE WHITE, and MARV TARPLIN. They were A major influence on ALL of the BRITISH INVASION groups ,who covered many of THE MIRACLES' tunes.
On this song, The Miracles decided to return the favor. The Beatles covered the Miracles' million-selling hit "YOU'VE REALLY GOT A HOLD ON ME".
ADORO ! SMOKEY ROBSON ! FABULOSO !
what year is this
Great cover!
When John Lennon wrote Woman he sad the Beatles were all trying to sound like Smokey when they first started.
Smokey can write songs and reninvent the covers...
when smokey sings it, its heart felt, big time.
NO,,, I MEAN THE MIRACLES .The Beatles, and many other British Invasion acts, were inspired by The Miracles' songs and music. See "The Miracles" in Wikipedia for details.
Smokey, The Beatles inpiration in many songs. inspired by them. SUPER SOUND & FEELING
Taken from the MIRACLES' MOST SOUGHT AFTER ALBUM / CD ...1970'S "WHAT LOVE HAS.....JOINED TOGETHER" .
Damn that songs awesome.....
it is lovely (speshly the "a love like ours will never die" part) but i do prefer the beatles versh. however I prefer Stevie Wonder's cover of We Can Work it Out to the original. that's fantastic.
you mean the beatles.lol
THE MIRACLES RULE !!
