While I was absent from FACEBOOK, I was on Google Plus, doing a bit of writing, some time ago, it's truly a passion of mine. I realize that while everyone won't agree with my words, or feelings, the most I can ever do is the best I can.

My words, are my truth and I will never be ashamed for living the life that, was given to me, to the best of my ability. Life is the lesson, living is the test. If the trials and tribulations of my life can help even one person get through the night, my job is done.  I was full because I kept my thoughts and feelings hidden deep inside, maybe it was fear, maybe it was foolish pride. I realize that I say what most people are thinking but it is what it is.

My tests are my testimony and life is way too short to walk around holding so much in, so I share with my family and friends. While God has shown me that dreams do come true, Satan has shown me that nightmares are dreams too. This is my story.....this is my truth!

I write (a LOT), I write to remember. I will leave my mark in that way. Love is important to me because it meets us where we are but does not leave us there.

I was weak, because I made a choice to be and when I felt discomfort in my weakness, I blamed somebody, anybody, everybody because it wasn't my fault. Ha!
I have control, I am empowered and very capable of creating a life that is filled with authenticity. Authentic needs belong to the soul. Artificial needs belong to the physical. My vision is no longer destroyed by the fear of what may happen in the future. When I am in a state of mind that causes me to fear the future, I challenge my fears by realizing that I am giving energy to a future that is not present and may never come to fruition. By worrying about what the future may or may not hold, I cheat myself out of the here and now. I can acknowledge my darkness and deal with it but not dwell in it. There must be a balance. When I atone for my mistakes and shortcomings, I begin to heal. Until I look at myself honestly and fully, I can never be authentic. It's irresponsible of me to consistently and purposely live a life of self sabotage, whether out of fear or habit. I must shatter the paradigm of false limits set before me, by my own hands or that of others. I will then move into my full potential, I am only limited by my beliefs or the lack thereof. When something is repeated for so long, it becomes a fundamental truth, just because a thing is generational doesn't make it right or true! When I am looking to produce a result in the world, the most effective and creative way to begin is from within. I am more than what society, the dictionary or history has attempted to define me to be. Until I realized that I have power within, I was always without. If I am always looking for happiness, satisfaction and acceptance, someplace other than where I am, it will never be where I am. I was always planning, thinking, overthinking, rethinking EVERYTHING.....I didn't know what relax meant. I would think, plan, prepare, regret and then reflect. It was an ugly cycle. Now, I know it's okay to sit back and relax. I can calm down. Any activity that is done without reverence is always one soul preying upon another weaker soul. Illusions have no power over a personality that is authentically in sync with its soul!

@firstchoice1956 Semper Fi, for me the day I got out of Bootcamp I picked up "September" by Earth Wind and Fire. I can't believe 33 yrs have gone bye so fast. Now I'm just an old Jarhead. lol I went to San Diego MCRD but I was a Drill Instructor for 3 yrs at Parris Island. Best tour of duty ever.
