Favorite Christmas Song

Our music minister sang this song today at church (2 days after the tragedy in Newton, CT. I can't think of a more appropriate song. Despite tears that are falling, hearts that are breadking, and the violence of the shooting at Sandy Hook Jesus is our Prince of Peace. May the God of all comfort be with the friends and families of those in Netwon, CT.

This is one of the most beautiful songs ever. This makes me cry about every time I listen to it. Jesus is for real. There is a passage in the Bible that says "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one can come to the Father except through me." I am still crying after listening to this, and I know it's not Christmas yet, but I wanted to hear this. God created this world and all of us in it. We should be thankful we are still alive.

I've been a Christian a long time, but it's taken me years to really "get it". This is the first year I've really felt so much joy that my Savior came into this world as a little baby some two thousand plus years ago. I read the birth accounts in Matthew and Luke and can't help but feel such a strong happiness for Jesus! When I think about Jesus coming into this world, I think about the beautiful reason I live at all. Jesus makes me happy and thankful, not things in a box. I love you Jesus!

I was asked to sing this next for church next week for Advent 2. Hadn't heard it before. What a sweet, touching song! I love it!

I sang this song in choir and I love it!

Love this song but prefer Chris Rice's (original?) version.

It's a very touching song. It's mind-blowing to think how the eternal and everlasting God actually chose to come to earth to be our Saviour. It's also mind-blowing to think that He loves us so much too! Praise the name of Jesus.

I could, and would truly love, to sing this song at our Christmas Eve service (I'm the music director, so I get to decide!)...but I honestly don't think I could sing those lyrics without crying, and it's basically impossible to cry and sing at the same time!!
