Smith, Michael W. - I'm Waiting For You Lyrics
I walked this road
So very long ago
To show the way
So you would know
With holes in my hands and feet
To make the way
Come follow me
[Chorus:]
Know you are not alone
You will be free indeed
The journey begins and ends
With me
One million miles
What are you waiting for?
I'm waiting for you
You run the race
Thinking you've almost won
Then you may find
You've only begun
You're on the road
And suddenly find
You're very near
[Repeat Chorus]
What are you waiting for?
I'm waiting for you

Smith, Michael W. I'm Waiting For You Comments
I'm waiting for you Taylor Swift.
I love this song. I remember picking up this album in Baltimore. This last song I just sat in the dark and listened to it over and over. Very powerful song. I was going through a tough time and it speaks volume.
You're on the road thinking you're far from here..suddenly find you're very near..
Probably my favorite Smitty studio album of all time. This man has been prolific in a lifetime of God-honoring creativity. I'll never forget picking him and his entourage up at the airport so that he could simply celebrate the birthday of a good friend, no photo-op. What an absolutely normal and kind person. I can still see him pretending to be a secret agent while successfully improving the attitude of my youngest son, a preschooler, who was having a bad day. Great guy, but he would be quick to say he serves at the pleasure of a Great God.
