You have no idea how much this song has helped me, especially how the music video is interpreted as if she’s leaving an abusive relationship and finding the strength to leave. I was in an extremely abusive relationship and it was ended 5 months ago. We were very close but so terrible for each other. This is hard for me to admit. I tried walking out so many times and I just couldn’t. It was hard because it felt like I was leaving my best friend when in reality he wasn’t. He hurt me so many times and he enjoyed it. I wasn’t strong enough to leave but god blessed me and he left. Although i was in agony and it broke my heart, I learned so much. And finally I gained my fucking self respect back 😊 idk this video just makes me cry everytime because the right person wont treat you horribly and will except your flaws, and being free from that person who always held you back is amazing.
