had a dream about Elliot. We were in an abandoned, tireless, beat up rusty car. We were talking and he told me that I should keep making music. Weird dream. I think Elliot is beyond the word of genius and prob was such a good soul but troubled and caught up in the pain of life (amongst other things).

I am lucky to have discovered him back in 1999 when I was studying in London. Then I went to his concert at the Southbank months later to celebrate my 32nd bday, by myself. It was kinda, how can I put it, solemn, sound bathing for the soul. Elliot buried his face in a beany or some hat, strumming his guitar. What a voice.

When I listen to his music I feel like we're old friends talking. He's a poet that fell too hard. He was driven to the edge by people who didn't really care at all. He found a way to escape, and I miss him because he left us all here.

There's just something about this guy. I didn't discover him till after he had already been dead for years. But I miss the fuck outta him. He was such a good fucking person with a heart of gold. The base line in this song is deliciously Beatles era Paul McCartney! This is part of the reason I love Elliott's music so much... he always puts these little 'easter eggs' in for those who grew up on the same music. RIP<3

Incredibly late reply, but pay it forward by introducing him to other people. I only recently discovered him, and I've never dealt with issues like parental abuse or drug issues, but I have felt depression, and Elliott's music has brought something meaningful to my life.
